Odd CPU load

Umm k this isnt normal and i cant find out whats using the CPU
According to the list in the task manager nothing is using it
Anyway i can locate this?

I have done a virus scan and came up clean so uhh wtf?

strange, specially how some of it is "wiped" out, thats really weird.
Do you have a dual core by any chance? the 99% idle could be one of the cores, though I think normally the % counts for both... so yeah very weird.

HAHA the whiteout was my mad photochoppin skillz lol really i was angry at the time :banghead:

and no i dont have dual core :grade11math:

i disabled as many background programs as i could and it still wouldnt drop under 35~45% load for hours .... couldnt even use winamp alone without the music skipping

Anyways it seems to have stoped for now

Might be cuz the pc was shutdown and just started again today but if it happens again i will report back but it has happened before on me tho i didnt have time to bother with it ...not that i do now lol

still would like to know cause tho

the spooler isnt want is hogging your proc in that task manager snap is it? Now i can tell you, some of the newer malware is getting smart. Its cloaked, and is not listed in your process list. I found a rather funny occurance in a system i was working on a few weeks ago. It had a virus, doh; but, the funny part was, it had a hacked version of COMMAND.EXE running.

I never thought about it, but, next time i work on a system with that type of bug on it, i'll post a thread with my notes on it. It might be useful to some of you guys if you happen to get a chance to work on the same issue.

squirrel whats so bad about reiserfs? That remark is crazy funny tho, specially since the filesystem creator is in jail for that crime, lol!
