Anyways, what have I missed?
Oh yes there was a point for this topic, I need to find a way to change my "visual style" without using a program like "StyleXP" anyone have any idea on how to do this?

lol never install an OS you don't know about as your main OS, that will greatly slow down production if you don't test in advance and give you huge head aches.
Linux is great for servers though, but even I'm not ready to try it as a desktop OS.

hmm
lookup uxthemepatcher
lets you patch your theme natively without stylexp and its free.
lemme see if i can get you a link.
Looks like i have it in the files section of my site. Here is a link.
Download UXTheme Multipatcher 4.0
the patcher gives pretty clear directions.
once you patch it, and .theme for xp will work, and alot of the stylexp themes work too.

did you follow the directions? If you don't tell windows to continue and ignore it doesn't work. The program does require so basic windows f/s knowledge.

Yeah, that patcher should work, I've used it before. Follow the directions and then unzip themes into the Themes folder.
