My cisco exam is tomorow, and I'm going in with a failing mark so I need to ace this. Studying like crazy but it's a rediculous amount of material to memorize for each module. If I fail, I'm pretty much screwed, since I really gota graduate and get a job, failing would pretty much ruin my life plans. Try getting a job a year late after failing a class... it ain't gona happen. We sort of got screwed over in that class since the equipment so we can do the proper labs was never setup so we never got to practice anything at all and we're never told till today what will even be on the hands on. The tests are pure memorization once you get into CCNA 3 and 4, so most of them I just borderline pass them.

I don't even know how I'd even tell my parants that I failed. :o Would not be a pleasent moment thats for sure. I'd get the blood lenght speech "you spend too much time on the computer nah nah nah" even though 70% of my computer time was college related.

I'm worried about 2 other classes, but think those ones I should make it ok. The two tests were worth like 35% each and I know I did good on the last one, the next one is this week and I did my hands on exam for the other class and did decent and the exam is this week as well. Cisco is what worries me the most right now.

So keep me in your prayers, I need it!

I'm sure you'll do alright. Remember when you passed math first year? You were convinced you'd fail it and you passed. If you do fail it, don't pull an SR :P.

no need to pray cuz if by chance you do fail (i doupt you will tho lol) its no big deal as you can play that card for a passing grade (if your close to passing=free marks) or if your far from passing you can try to earn marks using that card (extra credit etc)
"blame them for your fail"
school failed to provide proper teaching methods, tools etc so its not your fault you dont know it well cuz thay did not teach it well

if that quote is true then the law is on your side and everyone in that class should have the option to auto pass one way or another :awesome:

well thats how college works, they can screw us however they want, we cant really do much. I did hear of lawsuits and stuff, but I don't have the money for a lawyer. And just the fact alone that we got screwed is not what makes it hard, as the tests could pass me if I did good thogh they just have so much stuff to memorize its hard to do good on those.

And yeah I don't think I'll pull a SR if I fail. if I fail it will probably be over 50 but need 60 to pass. (which is stupid really, 50 has always been a standard since grade school).

The voice in data cabling class with is similar material to cisco is scary too, but I did the hands on and pretty sure I did good. The exam will be another brutal one, but we were given some papers with stuff to study so if I just go over those it will be easier then going through a 500 page currucilum.

And with all this stress, I need to find a permanent job that makes good money so I can move out... oh the joy of stress. Maybe I should pickup smoking and drinking whlie I'm at it. LOL

Online exams should have a paypal link so you can buy extra marks. I'd be willing to throw 500 bucks on an exam just to be extra sure I pass the course. :roflmao2:

Totally bombed the written part. It's just too much information to remember and the exam was really hard questions. I got most of the hands on part working, but... I don't know. Doubt I'll make it now.

Some random figures I came up with. (I DID almost fail math too last year so this may not be acurate :P)

out of 360
my average: 198.5 = 55%
class average 210.08 = 58%

so this means the class average is a failure, and I did 57 on the nuclear bomb exam, so that actually brings my mark up (still a fail though lol) and theres 2 assignments and the hands on which are not corrected yet.

There IS hope! Also these calculations are without weights. The exam and hands on are worth more.

Ugh, so red did you fail? What are you going to do, retake it? You should probably wait till the summer when you aren't too busy to study for it and then retake it.

Not sure yet I'll find out at the end of a few weeks what my final grade is. If I fail then I have to retake it after Christmas, so it pretty much screws me right over since I'll be jobless for a whole year and I really want to get in the work force this year and move out and such. I'm 20 and it's time for me to move out and start a real life.

I had my last exam today it was of similar nature but I did better on it, that course I know I passed. So I only have one course to worry about, at least.

Congrats!

Now, you may proceed to marry a dumpy broad & get a meaningless job & live a meaningless life--just like the rest of us!

Every day, now, brings you one day closer to DEATH.

Feel better now??

But, serialy, if you have a quasi-business going now, why don't you try developing it into a full time thing?

You'll be a hell of a lot happier then working for 'the man'.

I've thought of it, but its actually way less work to work for "the man" and pays more. All company equipment is paid for me, if I need to go out of town its paid for me, company vehicle paid for me etc... owning a business here is tough. I've seen some of the oldest PC business go out of business. When it's 3 times cheaper to order stuff online retail is out of the question here, and people only need their PCs fixed so many times.

Yeah--then you can charge them double to get XP back.

A lot of PCs are going to be surplus because people would rather just buy a Vista installed new PC.

Add pc recycling on to your business. :awesome:

Rebuild the good ones & recycle the parts from the junk ones & resell everything.

I mean, if Circuit City can have there own 'super heros' to do PC work--which I think is VERY unprofessional, there's a demand out there.

Check out their pricing--GEEZE!

CLICK :roflmao2:
