no matter how much site blocking a parent does there is no way to stop the kids from getting to stuff thay shouldnt have

as long as search engines are there then kids will get things

at the very least the kid will get cought a few times then learn to be smarter then his parents and get it anyways without them knowing lol

only 100% efficient way to block (well maybe not 100%) would be at the packet level, at a router that is not physically accessible. IF it's on the machine they can boot up with a knopix cd, or mess with the config, etc.

Yeah, kids are getting way-the-:censored: too smart now. And like Red said, as long as it's on the PC, there's a way around it. And some of the kids today would probably be able to get around it if it's a router-set thing, too. , let kids look at what they want, you aren't going to stop them. Hell, if anything, you're posing them a challlenge that just ends up making them smarter....

And, of course, it's way too easy to clear data now. You can erase all traces of your past sites in seconds.


And what do you mean "Kids like Pyro"? You doesn't know my browsing history! Sure, I go to 4-chan..... But..... They have good things there, too...... Sometimes..... I think.....

Besides, I'm 18. I can "legally view" anything I want to. I guess with the exception of things like child porn.

Have you ever seen all the different permissions you can set in XP using Administrative tools?

You can lock down a PC to the point of allowing a user to sign in & that's about it.

Plus, you could install a key logger-they'd never know.

a keylogger does not work that well ethere unless its one of those ones that plug into the computer / keyboard cuz otherwise it is just another process that can be taken down one way or another ... plug in ones cant really be seen cuz when is the last time you checked behind the computer before you turned it on lol

on top of all that the kids use the computer way more then the parents so as far as things go im sure the kid is more likly to notice a change in the pc and fix it before the parents even know the kid did something in the first place lol

oh and as far as the dysfunctional adult thing goes im guessing we all are
