I bet you have to be Genuine to download it too?
You can get an extension for Firefox called IE tab
It puts an Iexplorer button on your toolbar & if you want to see the site in explorer you click it & there you are.
Works great.
By the way Isn't that $99 Vista only an upgrade version from XP?
I'd get the full version if I'd get it at all.
They even have a "Limited Edition-Bill gate's Special Edition-Vista"
That's around $500.00

I don't know why people want to buy vista now. At least wait till SP1 is released. I'm waiting for my new Cray computer to arrive till I upgrade to it.

SP2 was out before I upgraded to XP (and then a still went back to 2000 later) I'm in no rush to upgrade. Heck next system I put together (who knows when that will be) will probably bend up being a ubuntu box.

Yeah I'd love to switch to Linux. Though it still has so many issues still. Like all the hoops you have to go through to get silly things working, that would take a check mark in windows. I'll be sticking to XP for as long as I sticked to 2000, maybe longer. I upgraded to XP like, this summer lol.

I was wrong. it's $259 at Amazon.
Its $10 more because you get a genuine reproduced signature of Bill Gates on the box & it's numbered.
Buying Vista Ultimate: You won't be able to buy Vista Ultimate until January 30, 2007. The suggested retail price for Vista Ultimate is $399 for the full package and $259 to upgrade.
If you purchase Vista Ultimate, you'll also be eligble to participate in the Windows Family Discount program. The program allows you to purchase up to two copies of Vista Home Premium for only $49.99 each, instead of the usual $159 to upgrade
WO-That's nice of them-after spending $399 for a full Unlimited , I can then spend another $49 to run it on another PC!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You did buy it?--or--??
What does the wait for SP1 mean if you bought it?
Also, I found out that you can buy an 'upgrade' & by double installing it, it becomes a full.

Maybe he's not installing it until atleast SP1?
Personally, I'd have a hard time saying no to that box. It's rather shiny and cool....... if only I had another PC that I didn't care about enough to run Vista on.

How, or why , do you wait for SP1, if you've already bought it??
SP 1 will be a downloaded update, so either way you have to install Vista.
I don't get it.
