OK well im bored
Anyways I started cleaning my computer for somthing to do and as always I go to
www.pcpitstop.com and run a full scan first.
My score seems rather good tho. The only thing it pointed out was
• Adjust IE browser cache size
• Adjust Receive Buffer Size
• Turn on page Check
All of that is IE so the only thing i got a yellow flag on is.
Internet MSIE 6.0; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322
Though i dont use Internet Explorer at all except for scaning on pcpitstop.com
I cannot get Mozilla to do the scan so i have to use IE for the scan
So lets go to the point
Whats your score?
I got 1766
I wanna know how well or poor the rest of the icetekies do.
Especaily the Squirrel and Richard
Im guessing the best and werst

Close but I did not beat you. I actually have not upgraded in like over a year now.
Got a yellow for my internet connection (could not ping or test upload - probably because of my security)
And got a yellow for lack of disk space on drive D (only 30/80 gigs left)

Haha and here i thought you would have had at least 200+ points over me
Looks like it would be a really close run if you didnt have the internet ping thing going on

yeah my net is what burned me the most, and my CPU. With all the new stuff that's been out such as duel core I'm way behind in that department. Plain 64 bit is just not that cool anymore.

Yep, though it does what I want it to, so no plans of upgrading yet. It's far from vista ready though, unless I want it to perform like a 486 with windows 98 on it. But I upgraded to XP this summer so no plans to go vista for a while.
Once I start working full time this machine will probably be converted to my main server and I'll build a bigger, better machine.

Not sure, probably would go with like quad core, and maybe like 2 gigs of ram. Basically the way technology goes, anything newer is better. Well most of the time. Video cards simply move too fast, they seem to have newer better ones every month, so can't really say what I'd do in that department.
I have a 128MB one right now. LOL But my machine does what I need it to, so chances are I'll still use it for at least another year. My server on the other hand, could use an upgrade. But if I'd upgrade it, would be more cost efficient to simply replace my main machine then use it as server. I could get a 64 bit version of linux and be set.
