I recently bought a gig of ram in addition to my 256 so i could partician my 70 gig to dual boot windows xp and vista rc2, and it seems pretty stable. not one issue yet with it other than not being able to switch to an xp theme. If your getting bored with XP's visual look Vista will be fun. otherwise it has nothing extra that you would need.

I have a SS somewhere of vista sitting idle, and its using up a huge chunk of processing power. Personally I rather an OS with low footprint so my programs can actually have cpu time.
