I was trying to download a program, but the site with the download link has some kind of plugin that crashes even firefox, and IE as well, so I was going to use telnet to get the file (or at least the link to it) then remembered linux has a text based browser. So I logged on my server and tried it, and sure enough I managed to get the file quickly and easily.
Its definately worth checking out this text based browser. Good for lite browsing for when you dont want to be bothered with graphics and stuff, or if a page causes you issues like in my case.
Its probably a good way to surve warez sites too.
