This never happened to me before------------------------

Fun stuff. Think I got that one a couple times myself. People keep being silly enough to execute it so it keeps getting around.

hey, btw I am not familiar OE and my dad keeps getting the e-mail that has a virus in it. Each time my dad hit's send/recive it's always there. Anyway to stop that from happening?

YEAH-

I never saw it as the anti-vi program deleted it before as soon as it saw it.

Those people need to get a life.

It is a worm mailer though. :sick:

Well-

You could try making a rule from the email.

Click the message button on the top & select 'create rule from message'

OR under message click on 'block sender'

However if any of the parameters you set for action change-such as the originating email addy--it won't work.

The best bet is to make sure the anti-virus program he's using checks the email in real time. :dosgonebad:

it does check. it alwasy get''s it during the send and recieve phase.

WELL------

Does he have his email account to save all his mail on the server?

It should be set to delete it otherwise he will keep downloading the same mail over & over

or just create a rule like I said & it will be deleted from OE by itself :dosgonebad:

Sounds like he's already infected, I would run a full system scan, and also go through all recent emails and shift+delete the one that has the attachment if its not deleted already.
