I was just in an accident on Saturday. Rear left tire of the van I was in blew out, we fish tailed 3-4 times, went into the ditch on rolled almost 4 times.
Wow.
I'm cut all over my right side from glass (got a Td shot). While we were in there trying to get the back door open, I popped the emergency window out and get this, two guys in the Army, just back from Iraq, were behind us when this happened. One was standing on the side of the van and pulled me out, the other is an Army medic. Since I was the only one with blood all over my arms, he set me down did all his medic stuff. The ambulance was only three miles behind, patroling the highway. I still can't believe all that happened.
And I won't be able to tomorrow either. It might take a few days.

Wow, thats pretty awesome, the part after the accident, that is. Talk about a great coicidence or what.

I remember when I was on the town bus and a tire blew. that was fun. Did not affect the driving though, since it was the back, and its double tire wheels. It was pulling in the terminal then all you hear is BANG. At first I thought the bus got shot or something.

Yeah, the van I was in didn't have 6+ wheels. Only 4, two in the back and two up front. The tire broke a hole in the floor of the van and because we didn't have a tire anymore, the wheel being dragged across the highway created so much heat it melted things.
If you're ever about two miles out of Hays, Kansas going east look for a swervy cut in the highway. I remember clearly it did sound like a shotgun.
