You weren't verbally attacked. You were simply told that the graphic language you used to describe gay sex, scat, etc. was too much. Then you kept going on about how lame everyone else and got mad that I was supposedly threatening to ban you when I was simply stating what might happen if you didn't let up on the graphic language. If you tell someone that they might go to jail if they continue with their shoplifting habit, does that mean you're threatening to arrest them?

He's on my Iggy list. You'll notice that rather than discuss the original issue that spawned all the madness, he's redirected it into personal attacks and desperate nit-picking over stupid little things to make the issue less about his behavior and more about mine. You can't have a discussion with such people that achieves any reasoned closure because they will always find something new to rant and rave about. And when you thought you had some grand point (as in the 'Sound Recorder' thread), you blew up about nothing. Was it the fact that people started making harmless joke suggestions in your Sound Recorder thread that set your temper alight? You should get out of the habit of casually throwing fighting words at people from the security of your PC and save them only for when you're willing and able to put your money where your mouth is. Oh, but what's the point. From the look of things, you probably get into 'chat' fights and 'forum brawls' quite often; shaking your mighty 'fist of typing' as you construct insults and type bad names and getting massive amounts of self-satisfaction as you weave your ultimately self-defeating, pathetic attempts at rebuttal and redirection. All anyone must do is read through this little series of flames in this thread, and the 'Sound Recorder' thread to see what I mean. He damns himself, though he obviously doesn't think so.

The mods and admins didn't do their job so it kept going and going. I'm sure the only real lesson learned by anyone is that the kind of abusive name-calling and malicious posting Anarchy did is alright, or at least nothing will be done about it. And you guys can't say you haven't seen any of it, so don't claim ignorance. So, and I say this without the intent to offend or disrespect, grow a spine and actually start enforcing the ToS. There's no point wielding the power to warn and ban if you don't use it when it ought to be. You can't actually think his kind of behavior has a positive effect on the forum as a whole, can you?

Since the Report Post feature is broken, just read through the last few pages of this thread, and the 'Sound Recorder' thread to see exactly what abusive language I'm talking about. And have a look at the 'How To Tell If A Person Is Gay' thread to see an example of his graphic language (his posts in there are tame compared to the particular one he wrote in here that drew protests).

Yes, I saw the entire discussion as it was happening. I just really, really didn’t want to make myself a target by getting involved.

However, that was my job. I’m pretty good at dealing with spammers since I don’t think of them as people, but I can’t handle flame wars. I’ve actually been toying with the idea of stepping down for a long time, and I just did a few minutes ago. I don’t have as much time as I used to, and I don’t want to deal with members who break the rules.

Oh, so it's ok for him to 'flame' me (whatever flame is supposed to represent, in my mind it means 'someone is making me read something that I don't agree with')? I'll admit I made the first comment that sparked the fury inside Stasi, but in MY personal opinion it was an unjustified reaction. I'm not the kind of person to backdown if I don't feel something is right. I wouldn't have replied to this post if you had mentioned Stasi being partly to blame, but you didn't.

I don't think blame is a one-sided affair unless 1 person makes comments on someone else and the other does not retaliate. Stasi did, so I'm making a point about that.

I apologise for my behaviour, though not entirely to blame, it started as one issue and digressed into personal attacks as Stasi says (even though he part-took in the personal attacks himself, but I don't need explain myself, I'm sure if you read the posts you can see it wasn't just him either), I just wanted to argue/debate about something, I'm that kind of person and there doesn't seem to be any meaningful debates here anymore (or ever, from my memory). I'll send a PM to Stasi asking for peace in here, but I'm not saying I'm never going to do it again, if someone irritates me I'll speak my mind about it, on here or in real life.

What do you mean that "it wasn't just him" making personal attacks? I was the only other one talking to you at the time, besides Manadren, who simply mentioned that you sounded like William Wallace. Did you perceive my comments to you as personal attacks, or did you feel attacked by the comparison to William Wallace? Do you remember the "one issue" that started everything? It was the vulgar comments you were making on the forum. You mentioned that perhaps there were cultural reasons that we did not find your comments funny. Perhaps that is true, but as soon as you found out you had offended people's sensibilities, you should have apologized then and there, instead of commenting on the small number of people who read this forum anyway, so why shouldn't you be able to say whatever stuff you want.
