I'd rather see him rot in prison than become a martyr in death. The fact that he was recorded going to the gallows sickens me.

I don't wish death to anyone, I will have liked to see Saddam in jail for the rest of his life.

Now I do want to see Fidel Castro death, I'll make a party when that happens

It's his fault my beautiful Cuba is the way it is, but damn now the president of Venezuela wants to take over -_-
I hope he doesn't take over, he sucks

Took all this time to finish the saddam trial.

Now if he would of been pirating MP3s he would of been in jail years ago, and have to pay 25 million per mp3 found on his machine.

US law priorities, gotta love it.

I don't feel bad that he was executed. Nor do I feel bad that it was captured on video. Such people as him are little more than rabid dogs who, upon determining their guilt, should be put down. The only concern I have is what the net effect will ultimately have been as a result of his 'martyrdom' to some.

I don't have any problem with the fact that Saddam was executed, but that shouldn't have been on tv. That kind of thing should happen quietly behind closed doors.

I have mixed thoughts about execution, thing is, he is burning in hell right now. And no matter how bad a person is, hell is such a terrible place to be, nobody deserves to go there. But really, execution is probably the most justifiable sentence for someone like him, so I'm not really against it. Sure he could be put to rot in jail but considering the burden that puts on the country financially (costs lot of money to keep people in jail) execution is the best route. And there's not the risk of him escaping.

Oh time to check youtube. :D

Edit: damn most of the vids are fakes. anyone find one? :D Preferably with sound.

*snip*
*whosh*
*SNAP*
*applause*

ok that was bad. :D

Execution is an easy way out. Living is suffering... actually, isn't that one of Rimbaud's quotes?

:-( nobody likes the bad guys. Nobody likes the person who makes mistakes. Nobod likes the psychologically damaged person. Everyone likes hating others, and wishing suffering upon them :-(

Yes, yes. hate is bad. But we hate anyway. You wanna know why? Because it's easy and it makes us feel better.

Okay, so what are you really trying to say? Every single statement you wrote here is ridiculous. 'Nobody' this, 'everyone' that.... You won't be taken seriously by anyone if you go about using universal declarations in the manner in which you have here.

oi. Just watched Grave of the Fireflies. Ain't that a way to start off the New Year. Great flick though, probably my favorite of the Studio Ghibli films.

My New Year's celebration just consisted of hanging out with my parents and watching a bunch of Season 1 X-Files episodes on DVD.

Stasi, I just have to chuckle at your use of a universal declaration in a sentence about staying away from universal declarations. :nana:

Yeah, when I originally wrote that, I wrote '... worth being taken serious by' but scratched that portion and others because my post started getting overly antagonistic. It's actually pretty funny, though. Glad to make you chuckle, Bookwormicus.

In other news, it's january, the coldest month in the year, and I can go outside without a coat. :o Global warming is a reality, it really is.
