Pretty much most of the items posted are examples of items that are way above the normal intensity level for that grade.

We are currently working on an OSI tested formula to help resolve some of the artifact intensity problems so that it's easy to scale them without the need to remove the artifact or nerf the blazes out of it.

Because many of the artifacts just surpass a certain stat to unheard of levels (20 stat bonus for example), most can just have points shaved away from them gradually until they reach the appropriate intensity grade.

While you give some interesting insight, going by your logic would mean helm of insight needs to be nerfed because it adds 23 mana total. Certain items are in fact good, but not game breaking. I'm not saying the items listed don't need nerfs, I'm just pointing out that we need to consider other factors =p,

We must also consider that many artifacts with exceptional bonuses also have a larger drawback. If we take the helm of insight as an example, the resist bonuses are hard to play with and fall outside the most important resists. The helm is also non-medeable which is a huge drawback to spell casters for passive and active meditation.

If you consider the armor of fortune and its 200 luck and 40% lrc bonus, it has less resistance than a piece of single ply toilet paper. Because of these drawbacks, there's no extra property bonuses and intensity, which allows it to still fit within its grade without surpassing its total intensity.

Threads tend to change directions when there's a lot of opinion. This one's still on track though as it's a discussion pertaining to the whole revamp scenario and how it will affect existing content.

you should have seen the unstoppable suits hector and I put together before the cap on hp. I think he broke the 200hp mark and I wasn't far behind. I dont think d played back then, but I dont remember fighting him with those suits. We made some rpvs of us fighting, I had a katana w/ 50 lightning, 50harm, and fc1. Hector had an awesome archer, niether of us could kill each other.

Did you even read what everyone said??? Where talking about how they should be nerfed but only slightly, and as i said earlier yes jackals gives Dex bonus but thats about it!!! Now on the other hand gods wrath gives DEX STR DI and good resists that doesnt overshadow jackals?

I don't want to sound conceited, but I am pretty sure I have the best pvm mage suit, pvp mage suit, and pvp dexxer suit. Despite this, and have nearly every item in the game (some multiples) I am in favor of an overall nerf to some items. Some items are a bit too strong, and they do need to be brought down a little, but they will still be good. You also have to remember that when items get nerfed, we will also be receiving major updates with tons of new content, items, and quests. There will be less over-the-top items, but overall a larger variety of items for more suit customization.

Not to mention that every system is getting its revisions, which means that the whole damage calculation is getting revised. This affects how damage is done in pvm and pvp, so if we fix damage, then those artifacts with really high DI would be a huge problem as the cap changes.

And yes, we know that loot is messed up because of how the system is originally coded. Loot itself will change to something logical (Sorry those who camped mongbats for 1/3's, that's going bye bye). On the positive side, higher end creatures will begin to drop items of considerable worth instead of 60 items with crap properties. Less emphasis on total items and more emphasis on quality items.
