What on earth is poutine?

Sounds like some sort of weird herbal medicine...

It's the best! We've had this discussion before. Do a search here, you might find it. I'll take a look.

I know Red has talked about liking it, but I didn't know you liked it too. It sure is a crazy world we live in.

Poutine is the best invention ever (besides lightsabers, no wait, poutine is better, I think)

Image

Eww quebec style, let me try again

K this one is still quebec style it seems, but looks much better.

Mmmmmmmmm and NYF makes the best poutine too. It's worth taking the bus to the mall to get one then walk home with it, even in -30 weather. (suprisingly, it stays hot too)

Can't seem to find "the perfect looking poutine". Chances are these ones are from the states or something. :P but pictures can't justify poutine. Mmmmm so good.

I came this close [gestures] to throwing up on my keyboard.

The top image was sickening, the second I couldn't see. The chips (i'll asume they were chips) looked as if they had been cooked for about a decade; the white stuff looked like scrambled egg gone badly wrong; and the package as if the kebab shop just threw out the unwanted ones.

You'll understand if I stick to fish'n'chips thanks :-)

Actually I can't see the 2nd one either, just right click on where it says "user posted image" and click "view image" then it should work. I think it uses cookies or something.

But pictures can't justify the nice taste of poutine. Mmmmmmmm.

Fish and chips is good too. Cant argue that. I heard in the states fish and chips actually consists of actual chips rather then fries... that would be... interesting.

If you hate fish you haven't tried fish and chips.

Chips are NOT fries. Fries are thin slivers of potato covered in fat, grease and salt. A good English chip is something to be worshipped: Thick, meaty, steaming hot and flavoured with strong sea-salt.

The fish is greasy, but deliciously so. The subtle freshness of a nice piece of cod dipped in batter counter-balances the old-fashioned stolidness of the chips, and the traditional wrapping of the whole bundle in the previous day's newspaper adds a hint of ink to the concoction.

You describe food very well. Now describe a banana split.

Aaaah! To be honest I just got carried away with the beauty of Fish'n'Chips. A tear leaked from my eyes when I realised you may never experience them.

Simon still hasn't logged on, I suspect that when he does you'll get your username approved. We like girls, especially American ones - something about that accent...
