they did a good job !!!
first they had to talk about it
then they had to find it
then they talked some more about what the problem was.
then they had to order the parts after they talked about it again
then when the parts came in they had to talk about if they are right
then after they talked about it more.
some kid comes in takes it apart takes out bad parts installed good ones
puts case back together turns on power
plays games the rest of the week .
total time to fix 15 minutes.
but ya know they had to talk about it

Sounds about right to me!
We thought the hdd had failed so that had to be checked and talked about too. I got the run around for a week 'till they got tired of me calling!
tw, how are you doing?
Did you check your memory on the pc you were working on?

Yep, that is funny. I had never heard of CRS 'till my friend used it one night on IM and I was glad to know the term for what I have been suffering from!
Seems it's a widespread condition!

Looks like you'll have to learn how to use chain proxies.

It shouldn't be hard to bypass it. My teacher knows how (he wouldn't tell us). If he can bypass it, I think I can too...
I think no one knows how to do these things properly...
Naw, I'll just do something else. Why block Mozillazine? The forums? I didn't post there, I just viewed a thread or two!
Maybe they're afraid I'll download Firebird or something. God knows how much damage I would do if I used that instead of Internet Explorer...
The little "agreement" is that students aren't allowed to install software on the computers. With Firebird, you never install anything... You just unzip and run.
That's too much trouble seeing that I only use those terrible computers about once every two weeks.
Today, we went to the computer lab.
First computer: Screen shook like crazy, and I couldn't stand it.
Second computer: Wouldn't boot up because of an A drive error.
Third computer: Windows 98 and IE 5, but it worked *fine*.
Last time I went, I got a computer with a copy of IE that crashed each time I typed something in the address bar!
I hate our computer lab.

Wow that sounds like our lab.
When we had windows 98, there was a shade of blue all over the walls from so many screens displaying the blue screen of death. That combined with "windows is shutting down" screens made a funny blue shade on the walls.
Now most of the problems are password/print related. A lot of people have trouble printing or logging in.
I hope to learn a lot about linux by next semister, and if they give me a placement for my co-op at school, I'll swifly switch the network to a linux one.
We can keep win2k workstations, but let's just change the server. Man I wish they would let me do that. I'd want to have a seperate server though so I don't have to worry about loosing valuble data. I'd set it up, then put a few clients on it only, go test them out (logins etc) and once all that would work, I'd plug in all the other computers and get the password list to create the accounts. Not really sure how this account stuff works, but I'm sure Linux must have some kind of server to manage that type of stuff. Something I'd have to research on first.

Thanks. If people were really mean, I could get into like 4 different lawsuits. All the seperate pictures come from different sources. The squirrel, the flowers, the garlends, the nuts...
but I've been making my sigs with google images for years and it's no problem. I don't think people care even if they see it, since I'm not using the picture alone, but mixing it with others.
