Actually I can't really say that as I never used it.
I would prefer Windows 2000. It's more mature and stable in my opinion...
XP is what I have though.
After I build my own computer, I'll have Mandrake Linux!

Right now I'm running a test crawl. I made it so I can crawl deeper than just the specified page. It's still done manually though. First I crawl the specified page, it creates a link list, then I crawl by specifying the link list and it creates another of all the urls found on all the pages in the list, and now I'm doing the 3rd level.
Too bad it does not show in the online users as browsing around though, that would be cool.
This is one long crawl though!
I don't think I'll run the actual page crawl on that one. The page crawl downloads and stores the pages of all the links. Not really the pages as you would see in a browser, but the pages as the server sends it (server header and all).
Later on I'll program it so I can run scripts to do stuff automaticly. Would be slick stuff. Good for tracking down *things*.

Yea! We are about to have a three-day weekend! Vive le week-end! I think for Québécois French I would say
fin de semaine or something like that instead of
week-end.
I don't know!
There are more differences between the French in Canada and the French in France than I thought. It never occured to me, but it makes perfect sense. You're separated by an ocean after all...

Hi tak, doing good, thanks.
I was about to turn in and thought I might look in here first.
Do you have plans for the weekend? Think I'll stay home, too much traffic aound here on holidays.

I am going to reinstall later tonight. I am backing up things right now. I would reinstall right now, but my mother's user account is password-protected and there are some things I need to do on her side. She's at work though.
It gives me some time to make sure I have everything though.
I'll have to download service pack 1 again.
This time, I will burn it to a CD.

Yep, re-installing is a pain on dial-up. It takes longer to load SP1 than the OS!
At least you have the burner to back up what you want to keep. I have a burner but have never used it.

I don't know what I would do without my burner. I use it mainly for archiving and back-ups. Floppies just won't do for that.
Off to reinstall....

Maybe she got to use that fireplace. It's been cold here, but I don't know about Georgia...

It apears the last time she was on was September 24th, so that's reassuring. maybe she's just very busy or gone for a while or something. Hopefully it's just that.

Good. Was just fixing up something quick on the forum, that's why there was errors.
When I thought of checking the logs, I remembered that I had not fully implimented logs on the new version.

lol yep that was it.
I implimented user based logging. Makes it easier to check when was the last time a user came.
I should check if there's a mod like vBulletin where it shows this in a profile, would be good to have.

Hey, I'm back!
This pc died and has been in the shop for 9 days!
Bad memory, warranty work, go figure.
I feel like I've been raised from the dead! Never been without my pc for that long! Man, am I tired of watching tv!
Just loaded over 76MB of updates!
Oh, and to top it all off, I had the W32/Nachi.A worm when I got the pc back! I called the repair shop right away and no one knows how it got on here as they said it was not connected to the internet. Panda took care of it but I would still like to know where it came from.

Wren! I'm so glad you're back!
Being without your PC for nine days?
That's very odd that you got a worm.
I would hate to take my computer to a shop. I don't trust people...

I'm sure glad to be back, I don't like the feeling of being cut off from the world!
I've been using the same repair store for several years. They are good but just like all warranty work, no one gets in a hurry to get the repairs done.
