Yeah it's really bad. I had to restore an image like 3 times today... now I'm just running test to see wtf is going on. While debian is nice, the screen refresh rate and 800*600 res is killing me, and it can't go higher because it probably does not support my video card.

That's the thing, most hardware manufacturers don't think of linux when making their drivers so you have to hope linux reconizes everything you have. If hardware was not a big issue I'd probably be using linux as my main OS.

Man what a mess. My PC is so fubared it's unreal. I wish I had more proof that it wsa in fact the ytmnd virus that did this, since even myself I'm not 100% convinced. They're freaken 12 year olds for crying out loud, half don't een know what a proxy is, let alone being able to write a virus that gets past firefox and permanently crashes a machine. Basically, the second I start doing any file transfers random files on the C drive start getting corrupted. thankfully my D drive is untouched... but I really need to image it over to the network or something before something happends to it.
