:D I HAVE TURING! :yo: If you want it, email me at samwise210@yahoo.ca.
You will need to have something that can extract from a split .ace file. The ones I can suggest are WinAce of WinRar (WinZip can't).

if anyone would have this program, I would love to get it on

atena_1991@hotmail.com

And, somehow, I think that no one should post up anymore links to download Turing off of, because they WILL take off all the links again!

syb wrote: The reason why turing is still taught in schools. Is because of a nice deal with the company that holds turing rights and that it is the best programing language to start young kids on. You then move on to Java or at least in my school we learnt Java. It uses the basic elements in every programing language. It is easy to use and understand. Extremely easy to learn.
Yup, must agree with WTD on this one... I think that any teaching language should be Free Software... and there are a bunch of them out there to choose from that are great.. For younger people with little math skills, LOGO comes to mind as it will teach them a Lisp like language, and they will invariably pick up some math skills along the way. Because of the turtle graphics included in most of the LOGO systems it is really fun as they can see interactively the designs made by the trail left by the turtle (with pendown that is). For folks with more advanced math background, like first year college or bright students in high school, HASKELL comes to mind. That will make a better programmer, even if you later have the failing due to commercial pressures to conform, you end up having to use lesser languages like Java or C++. Google is programmed to a large extent with python, so real jobs can come from the "other" languages. O'Caml knowledge can result in real jobs too, one is even advertised for on this web site! Another really great first time language would be Ruby, imminently learnable, and is totally object oriented... the only problem being, as with the other good languages out there you would then be terrorized by the thought of using crappy languages for work somewhere in a cubicle.

Hey, if anyone has added me on msn recently about turing, i can't send it right now. my internet has been down for the last two months and will be down for some time longer.

if anyone wishes to receive turing from me and is willing to wait, well...wait...heh.
Once it's back online i will send it to anyone who still doesn't have it and wants it. this was sent from school, so that's how i have internet for a few minutes everyday...helps to keep ya sane.
