Yea Red this place is really impressive. Nice job. I'll probably be spending more time here now for a bit because i'm taking a break from the AF untill things blow over. I wasn't getting along so well over there recently. People were pissing me off and I was pissing them off. Some of them think they're better than everybody else. Not many of them, but a couple.

Yeah I saw that thread. <_<

We did have lot of problems in the pass but the way you promoted your forum was good and not ignorant like most others. You were participating and did not spam it in every single forum like the other instances of promotion involved.

Here we don't really have any rules, we just take everything case by case. In the future if we get problems we may have to have rules, but now I just leave it open for people to use their own judgement and common sense.

I'm glad you like it here. Many many hours of work here and there. And once IB2.0 comes out there will be a major overhaul of the whole site. Not quite decided for sure but I may remake the layout of the whole site and not just the forum. The forum layout may stay similar/same or it may go completly diferent. I'll have to play around with a few ideas I got and see what I come up with.

I have a test server on my LAN which is great, since everything is lightning fast at 100mbps.

Speaking of servers, I have acquired a Fiery ZXP-01. What the heck do I do with this thing?

Never heard of that so I could not tell you whether it's good or not. Best bet is to use it as a normal PC and see the performance for yourself. That's if it's a normal PC, it may be some kind of univac machine or something if it's super old. LOL

An IT guy said it worked and had an OS on it. Looks like a regular pc from the back. Was used in an office.

Yeah a server is a regular PC but usually has a few differences in hardware such as a processor optimized for servers. You can probably just hook up a secondary monitor, keyboard and mouse and use it as a secondary PC

That's what I wanted to know, if it could be used as another pc. Got to have a good cleaning when I figure out how to open it.

You can also get a KVM switch if you don't want to buy an monitor mouse and keyboard. It would make a good UD cruncher. :D

This is one: http://www.iceteks.com/articles.php?act=vi...rticle=kvm&p=1&

Basically it allows you to connect more then one PC to the same keyboard, monitor and mouse, and you can switch between them. The one in that review has built in wires, but sometimes you have to buy them individually.

Hmmm I'm not sure, there's probably a way around it but it's hard to know how it works exactly. Do you get anything on your monitor?

I started this topic so I could stay away from the complicated stuff you guys talk about in the other topics and so I could just talk about everyday nonsense here...and look what happens :no no no:  :biglaugh: :D
You know I'm just teasing. I want you guys to do that. Otherwise I'd get lonely in my little topic all by myself. :(

Hey Red what do you think about a truth or dare topic in here? Is that a good idea or a bad idea? Would you not want to have one around or do you think it would work? What are your thoughts on that?
Wren you as well, what do you think?

I've been good... just catching up with home work most of the day. The truth or dare topic might not work since we're not that many members but it's not like it worked out all that great at A/F so give it a try.

 well you could try a truth or dare thread. The pool of people to pull from is a bit smaller, but you may be more likely to get replies :D

Been trying to get an old machine going for a cruncher...seems it's just a printer server and won't do what I want. :banghead: Now I have 3 paperweights. :pissed off: Will just donate them all and be done with it.
