I don't think the storms are over for us either. Thunder is still rumbling in the distance. I dare not go to bed and leave the pc on.

I'm very glad to see you back! It's good to not leave your PC on if there's a storm. No matter how addicting crunching can get. :P

P4 2.53 CPU
40 Gig HD
512MB DDR 333MHz memory
350 watt Mid-tower case
64MB Geforce Video card
52x24x52 CD-RW

Not familiar with the mobo, I think it was MCI.

They will load my copy of XP, I will have to activate it, that might be a problem.

I may have to unplug soon, thunder is starting up again!

Never heard of an MCI mobo, MSI perhaps? They make some pretty good mid-range boards.

Yes, it was MSI. :P If I decide on any changes it won't be a problem. They always work with you and make sure you get what you want. It's not an off the shelf system. ;)

Nice. That'sabout what I have, different brands, same specs. I got an AMD instead, a 2000+. I got a 60 gig, but even with all the video editing I do, my main partition is only a quarter full. :P I got like a 250 watt PSU though... Borderline :dosgonebad:

I'll probably pick it up tomorrow...took my XP cd for them to load. Now I have to figure out how to activate the os on a new machine. I went to Microsoft's site to see if there was a phone number but couldn't find one.

I think that actual activation program will give you a phone number. Or you can use a crack.... it's easier that way, and you don't have to worry about upgrading.

LOL yeah. It's to a point where you almost have to lol. Unless you want to be on hold for 30 minutes with elevator music. :roflmao2: Or do they play the rolling stones? Never been on hold with Ms, only the hydro company, and that is probably worse. "Your call is important to us, if this is a life threatning emergency, press 8..." :roflmao2:

Hello everyone  Had to leave in a hurry, didn't have time to log out. These daily storms are getting old. We didn't get the really bad weather like some in the western part of the state...lots of lightning though. Tak, looks like you had some storms to. :(

yeah that is lasting pretty long there! It's been a few days now that's it's storming on and off at your end! We started getting nice weather here. I can actually leave home without a coat! This morning it was a beautiful +5! Ahh finally! I even noticed the tulips are coming out!

That seems funny to me about the tulips, since mine have been gone. It's practically summer here. :biglaugh:

One year we had snow the 1st of june, I don't remember though, I just heard of it. One year we could see grass on Christmas... things can get weird here. :D

Actually, we just had a lot of rain. My father said we were supposed to have some more later, but I haven't checked that out myself. :)

School will be opened tomorrow, but an hour late.

Yes, I think there is another front coming from the north. I don't mind the rain so much, that lightning is a killer! It hit our neighbor's water well pump and had to be replaced on Sunday!

From June to August, the "official" date, I'm not too sure, but the nice warm times are pretty much between those months. August is usually the best month and is where we will most likely see +25's and even +30's. Last year was a very hot summer, and very humid. Most of us go to the mall when it's too hot to be outside. :P We also have the underground gold mine tour which is nice and cold. :biglaugh:

You don't know the meaning of "hot"! :P :roflmao2:

Come to Tennessee.... I am sure you wouldn't like the weather. I hate it, but I am used to it. :)
