Archer mimic scripts for PVPing which was added to the rules. Also scripts that inform players on another account when a staff member shows up to check if they're afk was borderline as there's plenty of loopholes to that scenario.

Our duel archer script was being used for spawns before that rule change was made and we adjusted for it after the rule for pvp during a raid was kinda vague..I sorta remember going around about this when that change was made and made the point that an archer will auto attack if aggro'd on anyway, but I am sure that once the rule change was made we stopped using duel archers for pvp because most people on the shard are to lazy to venture into t2a to raid...lol...I was raided one time and we champed round the clock so we couldnt have broke that rule to begin with. The one time is cause Apple raided me and my archers gave him the business, after that shaggy came to help me and I dropped the one archer off so it was 2 v 2 when he got his bro...

Banning the duel archers is why I left, once u play em u cant play without em... lol it pays to be leet.
I never went out to pvp with my duel archers, I have a kick ass mage for pvp.
I did spawns with duel archers... if people dont want their asses handed to them dont raid me lol.

Just saying that it was a potential issue that would have resulted in a lot of false positives from people claiming that "so and so" was doing it intentionally (Bending the truth is quite common).

Ya, I don't really like adding in some changes that will have an impact on gameplay but sometimes they have to be put in, otherwise a problem will quickly escalate and that's when the PM's start pilling up.

Can probably convince red to change that over to a different port.

Hmm what is blocking it? I could maybe check the firewall see if anything is funky, though I don't have any IP blocks, that whole port should be open. Unless you're trying to play from like school or something then yeah they probably block outbound to most ports.

What they mean is that quite a few places block many non-standard ports. I would think they would also block UO's default port, but I guess that's not the case for them.

Are people actually trying to play from work/school? That's not a really good idea and could get you fired, that and you could get hacked (passwords are unencrypted).
But I could probably check if I can make it so it listens on a standard port too like https. Don't think it would be too hard just need two listener sockets.

yeah its doable. Just gotta do some core changes so both ports actually fallback to the same listener socket. Or I could setup a packet forwarder on one port, as well. In fact, think I can do that right in Windows firewall... I'll check later.

I managed to create a forwarder for port 22. That's a fairly standard port though may possibly still be blocked outgoing.
Stupid windows wont let me pick a port like 443 since there's already a predefined rule that uses it, and it wont let me delete that rule. I hate windows.
