Hey Red what program do you use to make your sigs? What is a good one? I see all these crazy ass sigs with crazy backgrounds and pictures all blended into one. I make them too and I'm getting better but I have a long way to go. Any advice?

I use photoshop and google images. Fact: most of my sigs break copyright laws.

Well like the sig you have there now...how did you get the squirrel to look like it's part of the background picture? Was the squirrel from another pic and you put it on? If so, how did you cut the squirrel out so well?

I basically created a mask then erased all the background of the squirrel, and if I cut it too much, since I was only editing the mask and not the pic, I could just re add it and adjust so it's perfect. But the tail is usually the hardest part so in that one I went lazy. The background in the sig was a seperate pic.

I have like over 10 RS sigs in a folder, this one is an older one actually, I never made a new one when I switched from my christmas one, which I kept pretty long.

This one was the first one I made, man gives me memories of a warez site I used to go to, it was the first site I had used it on I think. Great times there. Not really the warez part, just the friendship we had (and the warez was a nice addition lol)

NIce sig Red (the first one). A mask eh.....I'm not sure what that is, I'm gonna have to open photoshop and get investigating.
When I want to add a pic on top of a background I use the eraser and erase everything around it that I don't want...and that can be difficult and unprofessional. What do you think?

A mask will basically let you do that, but if you mess up, you can draw back with white and it will draw back what the image was. If you draw with black, it erases. (or is it the oposite? lol)

Since I posted this I made some real progress with my sig making. Got the grids figured out and all that jazz. Got my own little technique of cutting. I don't know if it's as fast and accurate as some but it's all I can do with photoshop 5 LE. Anyway...check out this one I made....



I'm getting there. Some more practice but I'm getting there. Pretty good for just learning over the internet.
