I'm riding with my Dad tomorrow to his brother's wedding. We're coming back the next day. It's always nice taking a trip with Dad because he pays for lunch. (The time I spend with him is nice, too.)

It snowed a bit today, but not real snow, it melted when it hit the ground. so that does not really count.

My trip with my dad paid off better than expected. For lunch on Saturday, he took me to Booka's Barbeque Pit and bought me a bacon double cheesburger with fries. Between the wedding and reception (there was a two and a half hour gap), my dad and I went to a restaurant with three of his brothers for some coffee. I don't like coffee, so I had a pineapple shake, which my dad paid for. I also had a piece of rhubarb upside-down cake, which my dad paid for. On Sunday morning, he took me to Perkins for breakfast and told me not to look at the prices since he was paying. I had three fried eggs, four pancakes, hash browns, four sausage links, and a glass of grapefruit juice. Taking trips with dad sure is fun.

Man SquirrelBBS is SO close to being released. Might actually do it sometimes tomorow. Just have to decide how I'll do it, if I do a install script or wait till the stable version for that. It will be the moment of truth. If everyone says it sucks, then no use continuing, but if everyone likes it and looks forward to the stable release, then it will motivate me to work on it more. In the mid-beta stage I'll convert AF to it probably.

Just DON'T lose any of the posts here while converting. We lost a lot of people last time we converted to the new version.

No I'll have to write a converter script. It's all part in my IPB domination program which starts when the first stable version of SBBS is out. Actually, not sure if I'll write a full blown converter script. I'll probably stick to the basics, like converting forums, members, topics, and posts. Maybe PMs too. (hmm probably, actually) The tricky part is ensuring the right format in the posts, like smilies and stuff. In the DB it's stored as html though so I should be fine to just leave it that way or something. Would not want to break all the smilies and stuff, a certain IPB upgrade did that a while back and it was nasty.
