Mpeg and mpg is the same, mpg is just the extenstion for it.

But there's tons of different types of mpg's (layer 2 layer 4 etc) so not sure what the PSP handles.

MPEG4 is what the PSP handles. Nothing else, I've tried. So, unless you have a converter, you can't use those videos. Sad, really. You won't find many MPEG4 videos on P2P, is it a newer format? There's a few video converters floating around Google though. Have a look. B)

Ah, Sir. Will do. Though, I WILL have to read it to see what stupidity they spit at us.

A new security system/logger will go in place in less then an hour, so that way even deleted posts will still hold a record. that will give me more IPs to play with. His range is huge, but for his region it's probably limited to a few sets of 255. Ohio internet network seems fairly large, but he's dealing with a network analyst here. Ok ok, so I started monday.

Anyway, back to topic, this thread is for comments on the PSP review. :P

I appreciate your comments, I really do. I, myself, never look too high of my work. Well, sometimes I have to. But, in this case, I felt it was rushed. But, if the readers are enjoying it, I'm happy. B)

Um.... Thanks? And I appreciate you coming to me for help?

The reason I didn't add in the web browser or the ebooks was because this was written before I got into the homebrew scene or anything related to that. By ebooks do you mean things like PSPMag? That's as simple as adding images to the PSP and scrolling through them.

Uh.... O... K.... Whatever you say... If you said anything at all.

The 2.00 firmware is supposed to be released the 27th of July in Japan. I keep checking to see if it's up yet.

Nope, I had to buy mine extra. Infact, I'm on my third one((lost/misplaced the first one, and was too lazy to go grab my other one from my friend's house)). A basic white USB cord for the PSP can be bought at GameStop or EB Games for 10 dollars.

You mean insurance, right? I'm not sure if that covers dead pixels. You have to have like 5 or something before they do anything. Besides, NEVER return your LCD screen because of one or two dead pixels. You have the possibility of ending up with MORE than before.
where can i buy a usb port for my psp?
Wal-Mart, Target, etc. Your BEST bet is GameStop or EB Games. They have the one made for use with the PSP for 10 dollars, while the cord is normally 15 at Wal-Mart.

im totaly frikin stoked to be gettin one but im worried about dead pixels are they really a big problem :(
Well, these are LCD screen we are dealing with. We can't be certain for sure if it will be bad or not. I have a bit of STUCK pixels at the bottom of my screen. Luckily, they're stuck on white.

My advice, unless you have ALOT of NOTICABLE dead pixels, DO NOT TAKE IT back and chance getting more.

Hope you enjoy your PSP.

I just got a copy of Burnout: Legends for the PSP, that game is BRILLIANT. I thought Virtual Tennis would be the Killer App for me, but this games leaves it in the dust :D

Yeah, it's super awesome. Better than what I remember the original Socom being like.

At first, I thought the lock on was kinda cheesy, but it just made me more aware of what cover is around me. It rocks :D

Considering the stiffness of the analog stick, the lock on is a great feature.

Yeah, the analog stick is a little too janky to play SOCOM without the lock on, I agree there.

THE PSP SUX BECAUSE IT IS NOT OPEN FORMAT AND THAT ANNOYS ME. Get it for the portable gaming thats it!!!
Just because YOU want it for gaming only doesn't mean no one else can like the multimedia features of it. I'm loving my multi-use handheld.

Oh, and there is a downgrader for 2.0. I downgraded. w00t w00t. But now I'm going to upgrade again. Who cares?

FYI, the downgrader is on the front page of PSPupdates.com for those interested.

Downgrading worked for me too (as I mentioned here:http://www.iceteks.com/forums/show.php/showtopic/3757)
I wanted to try the browser, and it was alright, though there has to be a better way to type in stuff other than that retarded telephone keypad system.
