I was at AF at one time but it became a little offensive for my taste so I came here and stayed. Oh, the topics get over my head too but I talk when I can. :biglaugh:

BTW, here's the pic I spoke of. :)

Why am I an icicle? I don't want to be an icicle anymore. How many posts do I have to make?

What does the "icecubes" stand for?

Glad you all like the pic. No it's not rare, I ordered the plant from an orchid grower. The rare ones go for several hundred dollars for a seedling, which takes a few years to bloom.

Icecubes are play money here. ;)

every 10 posts your title will change and at 100 you can make your own
the ice cubes are to buy stuff, like a custom title and such. Check out the cybervillage.

Didn't you show this at the AF once? I think I remember something similar...

It looks very good! How did you get that solid black? It's a very nice effect. :)

Yes, it was shown at AF some time ago. ;) It was a lucky shot as I was in the hallway, had the plant on a table and was looking up toward the subject which had a mirror behind it. Why the background came out black, I'll never know.

yeah control I'm not too fond of the whole newbie thing myself I think you have to wait a year cuz I went threw the list of people and could find no one who had been here less than a year with anything other than newbie as thier title. Maybe red can clear it all up for us.

Anyways,
What else do you grow Wren?

After 30 posts you are no longer newbie, and upgraded to the members group. You also get more permissions like more PM space, less flood limits etc...

Then after 100 posts you go in the ice aged group.

There's daylilies, iris, roses, all kinds of perennials, fruit trees, blueberries, the list goes on. Strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and more in the vegetable garden now. Almost too much to take care of.

What does the "flood limits" thing mean?

The flood limit is how often you can post in a certain ammount of time. I think it's set to once per 30 seconds or somthing... but as you get more posts the limit goes lower.

For the cybervillage it's all custom coded from scratch. B) I occasionally add new features.

We do have a very intelligent squirrel around here. Once in a while he will get the urge to chew a few wires, but always finds a fix. :roflmao:
