The Mozilla project is going to live on, but they are just going to concentrate on Firebird and Thunderbird. This will be great in the long run, but I may stick with 1.4 for a long time.
I think Firebird will be a great browser when it matures a bit more.

as long as there's a plethora of browsers out there besides internet exploder, i'll be a happy camper.

Yep. As long as I don't have to use IE or Opera, everything's okay.

Well, I was a little off on the date...
It's out now.
This will probably be the last RC. Then, the final will probably be out. I can't wait to try it out. They spent so much time on it, and I am sure it will be solid!

Mozilla is as close to perfect as a browser can get. 
With time, Firebird will be the best.
