Here's my rendition of the space pic.

It was made in GIMP, and I only used one filter to make it.

Here's another modification. All I did was duplicate the layers and rotate each one a bit, then I did various filters and stuff to each layer.

Yeah, it is pretty cool.

I used the Whirl and Pinch filter in GIMP to make that.

Edit: How come mine looks a little more bright and vivid??? They're both the same pic.

I played allot with the different channels and layers and stuff so it probably changed the brightness as well.

All sorts of stuff. What I mostly did was use the feature in the layer where it only displays certain shades of color, so that's why the walls are like that. It clips what is not of the certain shade. Then I did a few other blendings and that's about it.
