I've logged on a few times recently and while afk I have been disconnected, but it may have been because of the recent host maintenance. When actually playing, I've been pinging 30-40, so I think it's just your problem Drucilia.

Just because.
They have super low life, so the only reason they take any time at all is because of their resists. They are still extremely easy though.

Because the bard immunity tag is in the script for some reason. Whether or not it's been there all this time or was added in the past is unknown. What is known is that shadow knights
should be bardable.
In actuality, their barding difficulty is supposed to be 160, making them bardable by a bard with high skill and a good instrument.
Barding difficulty does not yet apply to AOV for bard skills. An outdated formula determines success and fail chances so most barding levels are inaccurate, making mobs easier or harder than they are supposed to be as well as not providing correct effects. Certain mobs are also unbardable when they should be, and vice versa.
Bard skills are one of the highest on the list for revisions, because of the outdated formula and not having barding difficulty incorporated properly.

It would be nice to incorporate heavier armors to give only melee characters the benefit of taking less damage at the cost of some other attribute (Lower spell damage, inability to leech, etc etc). Whatever the changes are, there remains one important factor:
About this comment. Isnt it stupidity to say yes they are hugely dis advantaged then say yes we are going to bring them to a level playing field. Then go onto to say your going to take away from them in doing so and as a consequence not really help them at all.
To make it even you have to give them something and not take anything away or your back where you started with melee characters getting raped by one creatures or raped by restraints.
in short they are disadvantaged. You give them something and take away something they have now ur just changeing around where the disadvantage comes from. Even sugesting taking away the ability to leech is basically moronic. How about fixing it. Not shifting the disadvantage.
Not all warrior classes are disadvantaged. Sampires remain the single most popular template next to archers and tamers because they leech back their damage and their damage output allows them to remain alive through almost anything. That's pretty much what they have going for them, that's the benefit of their template.
Mages and archers, should they get the same benefit from armor reduction when they are not standing toe to toe? The same thing with sampires and those who use high life leech, they already a method of staying alive.
With all respect, what made sampires initially popular was being able to cheat the skill cap by using necro jewels to change from but not using skill pts on necro, so you had the life leech benefit but all the skills for dexxer survivability, with that ability to use jewels removed sampires don't seem to have all that much going for them. After a lot of research I made one with all scrolls I needed and all the best gear and survivability seemed nowhere near worth the effort. I'd rather just play a mage or archer and survive with range, my sampire was getting it's butt kicked by comparison.

Sampires were very solid for pvm, and I personally felt there was never any real problem with them. They aren't really even worthwhile in PvP, so I felt they were fine. Nothing wrong with certain templates being great in one aspect of the game but struggling in another.
