I will comment on all your points.

First, you claim others have a chance because you have not implemented the strategy completely. One of your members claimed it was because you were lax. If you determine it necessary, you have everything in place to execute the strategy. Learning the color scheme and players is a short term fix, of course until you decide that is not working for you.

You claim all DI can take anyone on shard. Then why resort to such a harsh and unbeatable scheme if you are so good? The folks who should use that strategy are the folks that are individually weak. I would fit in such a category. But I would use the scheme just to increase my survival chance against macro junkies. IMHO, you do not come across as strong as you say you are when you must resort to such a strategy.

Being singled out and dumped on sucks. But that is EXACTLY your strategy. You want to do this to others (coordinated through vent) and make it so no one can reciprocate (due to a game designer oversight IMO). That is one aspect of gankers. The complaints you have about this situation are the SAME as everyone else's. No one likes it, but your "strategy" is to dress the same and have all the same names. Would this be a fun game if everyone did this? This is a rhetorical question btw. My answer is no. It is very hard to understand who is talking in chat. Some of you are extremely rude, while others seem nicer. It is hard to be nice to you because most likely we are addressing the jerk. So again, you are hiding (cowardly).

I have made my points; I hope clearly, but I do not think you all will see them...which is ok I guess. To each his own. However, unless someone can come up with a good explanation why the "sameness strategy" is not unfair to others we should let this drop. We are starting to beat the proverbial dead horse.

I am more than willing to continue this discussion; however, I prefer the forum because I cannot tell which of you I would be discussing this with in game. Nor do I want to. I have nothing to hide...do you?

Well it's official. We're going to have to enforce unique names because it's a pain trying to answer questions and pages when 6 people have the same name. Also, if I have to deal with somebody separately then I don't want to have to filter out which one is the trouble maker, particularly in chat.

I don't know about this. If someone asks for assistance over chat, then just tell them to submit a page, that way you can go straight to the person who is asking. That way, you might be able to determine if it is an actual problem, or just someone asking for a favor.

Requiring a unique name is something that seems a bit far-reaching. I'm not saying this is a poor idea, but I'd like to know if it could be circumvented by people actually paging their problems instead of asking over public chat.

I mean, isn't public chat actually supposed to be a way for the players to communicate with each other, instead of a vent for players to ask staff to come to them? If you really need a staff member to come to your location, submitting a page or posting on the forums is your best bet.

I do not approve of forcing unique names. People with char slots unused could just make a bunch of popular names or names of players other aliases that already play and people wouldn't be able to use their usual name. People would be demand a "ransom" for certain char names, you see this a lot on other MMORPGs.

I wouldn't have to enforce this if people would learn a bit of control in keeping shit talk out of public chat as we requested but it's gotten to be an issue when it comes down to handling the individual who is responsible.

There's plenty of names, you don't all have to pick the same one. Same names lead to confusion, false positives, scamming, etc.

Force individual names. Disallow symbols/numbers. Put a name filter for stupidity like "a dog", "a newbie" "kthxbai" "fuckurmom" etc I don't mind changing any names. Christ guys, this is YOUR server. Enforce all you want, we'll conform or we'll fuck off. Pretty simple.

That's one thing that belongs to PvP: Trash talk. Imo, create a semi-unmoderated chat window so people can talk what they want in regards of pvp and stuff.

As for pages, I believe you can just ask people to swap characters so they are recognizable easier. I don't see why it's such a huge issue apart from the guy above crying about "cowardice".

Staff have enough to do already. There's no reason why we should have to go through extra steps just to deal with somebody and waste time. We're developers, we hate anything that takes more time than needed.

And I wasn't referring to pages in particular, I was mostly referring to adding a chat ban on somebody who is being difficult when 5 other people have the same name. If you can think of a good way to find the wolf in the flock of sheep I'd like to hear it.

EDIT: We could even get around the problem as long as there was a better way to visibly differentiate players. That would work wonders and keep everyone happen.
