You got looting skills. People ask me how I can loot so quickly without an agent. Now you know.

Ya, I forgot about the looting part. And yes, most people used studded leather cause your spells didn't bounce off em like the platemail. Back in the day when everyone was a mage fisherman cook with weapon capabilities and spirit speaking
.

Dragons are already pretty strong, its the players that have way too much power. Try killing a dragon without chivalry and slayers and all 70, just all 40 from magic resists, its nearly undoable.
I might have to agree with brunus on this one. Back in the days of uo, platemail was the shit and if you had a broadsword of vanquishing, you were the shit (If you lost it, you banged your head against the table). That being said, things were easier to get and you could make a good suit in a few days, but the enemies were more balanced and some things were considered fierce. In the days of old uo, a balron was something to keep your distance from, lest it find you, kill you and wait for you to come back to swipe your platemail helm from its goat legs. Guess that's the way uo has evolved. We now have super items that give us more padding, protection and power. That's why enemies like to UOML goonies were made.
Back in the days of old school UO, everyone used Studded Leather. Platemail took off too much dex, Studded was the best. Maybe light archer. If you wanted the hardcore shit, I had a Silver Surpemely Accurate Kyrss of Vanquishing. THAT was the shit.
Now, Old School UO, no one even HEARD of Balrons. And the ones who did shit their pants. Actually, WWs made most people shit their pants. LOL. And when you went over to your body after you died to loot it, we didn't have that gay ass "You quickly gather all your items". We didn't have insurance either. That's uber shit there man.
Ah. Hybrid.
Norse Helm, Plate Arms, Chain tunic, Chain Legs, Studded Gorget, Ring Gloves = win for me on osi pre aos

Close Helm, Ring Arms, Ring Gloves, Studded Gorget, Chain Tunic, Chain Leggings FTW.
Also called "Light Archer". Heavy archer was the same, just plate gorget arms and gloves.

yeah those were the days. people were more civil ingame, cause it was all fel. No hiding in tram talking shit. Many good times were had at the brit graveyard. Back when things were so overpopulated that you had 5 people at a small spawn and you took turns looting. And if you died and your stuff was still there... well that was a miracle.
Back before champ spawns there was 3 ogre lords that spawned on the isle in despise. I found a way to macro peace, music, and provo. That was my island. I was, IIRC, music, peace, provo, mage, tacts, archer, fence... something like that. Between my blade spirits and the OLs after I area peaced them, not many pks stood a chance. Then I still had my magery and archer skills to finish them off.

Now most people use leather. Because a full leather set can protect you from every single element. LOL It's sad how leather is better then plate in most cases.

And on that tangent, I'd like to know how most HATS protect better than full body tunics...
Back on subject kinda, that leather is dragon hide.

I still say I can catch a hat on fire quicker than a platemail tunic.

I know I am being dumb. But its St Pats Day and I am on the downhill side of a 12 pack of killians...
So what if that hat was made from asbestos and the tunic was made from magnesium? I HAVE seen magnesium VW blocks burn, matter of fact some hillbilly friends of mine had a VW block bonfire. It was HOT. I would hate to be wearing that magnesium tunic when someone Kal Vas Flam'd me.
