4/6 Chiver and you died to a paragon swoop? How, might I ask? I mean, you have the abilities to heal so fast. Not to mention 6k+ insurance for 2k gold?
So, did you try any of the named spiders? Were they also "easy?"
Good point on the execution. Situational PvP it does have a use. Arena wise no.

I got a wickod field pvp packet vid of that from demise, complete with a random wtfpwning of some archer in the distance trying to gank me while I was tanking 2 other people.
I think thunder hit the nail on the head with the priority analogy of things like liches and rat mages not putting as much hurt on as a dragon or balron. That's always an idea for balancing AI.

Could not withstand double AI. But that was pretty much the only problem with it. The spiders were easy as well, until they decided to double team me. Damn, that sucked. That and the lag factor.

Right now the AI is set to 1-15 sec delay per ability (spells, bandage etc) but I can maybe look into making it dynamic based on the mob's stats or something. Though now it sorta does that already but based on mana.

I was thinking why not have all mobs use the same "AI" then in some AI function base all its abilities on its fame or something.

The difficulty is already based off of skill for most of the stuff from what I gather. Could use the fame to decide the loot similar to how the ML bosses fame decides artie chances.

The intensity of the AI (values that determine how often it does stuff) is based mostly on mana as well as some hard coded values in some mobs, bosses for example have it cranked up more then smaller creatures.
But the abilities themselves work exactly like if a player uses them. So if a mob has more eval then FSes do more damage, and so on. Arcane levels also work on mobs. If you have a pet such as a reptalon and get 6 other pets/people to do arcane circle it's spells will be more powerful based on arcane level.
Really whenever I lower the AI, it hurts tamers more then anything, since their pets don't perform as well. One of the advantages of a better AI is pets that are smarter and kill faster.

That is actually mostly true. I noticed when the AI improvements were greatly improved that my pets used a better range of spells as well as defensive stuff like keeping themselves healed better. When the AI was reduced a little bit a while back to keep monsters from doing mass healing and stuff when they got low, it affected pets as well. It is actually one of the primary reasons in that other thread that I voted to keep the AI the way it is. I think the AI is at a good intencity right now to create balance between smart monsters and ability for players to beat them.

Damn, and to think I intended Demitels to have 500k hp, be harder than they are now and a 1% drop chance.

Demitel himself will have a very high chance and to summon will involve killing each demitel, possibly several times.
I just did not think up of a system yet and its not a priority. Chances are to summon demitel you will have to do some kind of quest and give certain items that drop off each boss.

Not too hard. I just use it as a comparison.
As the AI goes up, what do we get extra torwards beating it? Unless you are a tamer . . . very little :/
