The lag issue shifted it seems, its back to me now, so those who have been lagging for the past week will probably not lag... it seems to pick random people. makes no sense.
And another traceroute of mine

I submitted a ticket at our provider about this, hopefully they have ways to monitor the routing and figure out if there is in fact an issue at their end. I'm just hoping the issue actually is with routers so 1: they can fix it or 2: I can switch providers.

Ok, this is the problem. My route to uovalor keeps changing constantly. One minute it will bounce to DC then TX, then it will go all the way to Chicago and Denver, then to TX. Today it's doing this ALL THE TIME. Like 1 minute the route is good, then next it's bad. There is a router somewhere close to Dallas (or one that is in charge of determining the route to uovalor) that is screwing the route up completely, but only temporarily. It's like it can't decide.

Seems this router may be at fault, when your not lagging, do you pass by that router or is it skipped?

Hmm, I don't think I ever pass through the 64.*.*.* subnet whether I'm lagging or not. The subnets I pass through when on "the planet" routers are 4.*.*.*, 70.*.*.* and 67.*.*.*.

I need everyone to post their client and razor versions. I'm thinking it may be client related. It seems everyone who lags are using older versions. Maybe try updating as well and see if it helps. Unfortunately that comes with a price though as the newest razor deletes profiles, or something to that extent.
But I'm doubting it client related, because this is too random, if it was the client, the people affected would always lag... the problem is everything is contradicting itself, its near impossible to pin point the cause.

They fixed the profile deletion thing, and it has new features on it now.

My lag is definitely not affected by this. It is directly related to which route the packets take. That is completely out of the control of the software and hardware on my machine.

Yeah and the test shard was in my basement on a crappy connection while this one is at an actual data center on a backbone connection.

Couple time outs, but I'm not lagging, those could be routers that block ping, too.
