If you don't need it to graduate, dropping it is a wise idea. Your stress level will lower, and all your other marks will go higher.
But then, when you get older, you'll look back and regret that you didn't challenge yourself. Take the class. You can handle it.

On the other hand, who actually uses calculus anyway? :P
I can handle it? Are you serious?
Absolutely. I figure they must explain it at least a little bit in class. Not that I'd know. I never took it myself. And I've never regretted it either, but I'm sure YOU would, so you better take it.

If you're planning to get into any discipline that involves the design of real-world objects, then you'd probably benefit from learning calculus.

I dropped it.
And i can simply take it in college again. When I actually have some time after class and I'm around people to study with.

I would rather use normal math/geometry for that, or code a program that does everything for me, or just use autocad. :D

Yeah, well, I prefer doing the calculus in my head and then typing an SVG model from scratch – with my feet.

Calculus is fun, but don’t ask me to interpret a poem. Are you taking any other difficult classes?

Ahhh, cobras! No worse, calculus! *hides*

Actually, the word calculus sounds like some kind of weird infection name.

No. Well if you consider AP Statistics a hard class. Government isn't too bad. My english teacher isn't married, doesn't have kids, and is young, so she has a completely skewed idea of our homework load. She loves to give us loads of homework. And most of it is pure writing... /vomit.
Everything else is easy. I'm taking a web design class. Basically, we read our dreamweaver book and follow instructions while the teacher helps all the sophomores figure out wtf they're doing...dumb sophomores...So we're like 10 web pages ahead of them...
Religion class isn't bad. We usually sit around and talk about what's going on in our lives and how we feel about stuff. It's quite refreshing actually. But next week we have to do Habitat for Humanity, which is fine with me. We go to a build site and help build a low-income house for a family that needs a home. The problem I have with it is the school makes us write a 600 word paper about it and take a quiz over what the Habitat program is about... How is a 600 word paper going to help build a nice lady a new house?
The only other class i have is band...we aren't finished memorizing our show yet and our first competition is on September 13 (My Birthday!!!). So we've got a lot to do before the show is ready to present to anybody.
And omg, i really need a hug cause every morning there's this freshman girl who will absolutely not do what i say. I'm co-section leader of the mellophones, and this girl never ever pays attention. She lazily marches out of step and never brings her music or charts to the field (charts are what let you know where you're supposed to go in a show until you've memorized it). It drives me CRAZY. This is my senior year, and it's OUR band this year. And it pisses me off when people don't care. If they don't care about band, why not just leave band? We'd be better off with unfilled spots in the show than with a bunch of lazy people who dont care, marching out of time. And she's trying to wear a college sweatshirt to school (a privilage only granted to seniors. We've got school uniforms and only the seniors are allowed to wear college sweatshirts cause they'll be going to college in a year. It's even in our rulebook). She's a FRESHMAN. Trying to take advantage of our privilages. That's so disrespectful. If I had my way, she'd be outside after school marching with me every day for three hours, or until i felt she had earned the right to leave. These damn kids need to learn some respect and discipline.
and GET OFF MY LAWN!
