Ha, when I lived in Fairbanks, AK, we never had a snow day. If the temperature hit -60, school became optional, but it never did on a school day so I never had a free day off:(

Thinking about going to Canada?
The tiniest amount of snow (or chance of snow) gets students out in Middle and West Tennessee. At least in Lawrence County, they get rain days too, because so many people live far out where the roads are bad.

Yeah its always super cold there so really no point.
I never even understood why "too cold" is a reason for a snow day. Never complained since I'll take it gladly, but it just makes no sense. Buildings have heating afterall.
The stupidest thing is when theres a storm and they announce a snow day in middle of the day. Sure, send everyone home in middle of the storm, thats real safe. They even did that where I work, but only certain departments were allowed. The ones that left had to drive through the storm. The ones that stayed only had to deal with sliperly roads (which were salted by then) but no storm.

Thinking about going to Canada?
I have visited the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. And my wife and I drove through Canada once to get from Michigan to New York, but we only made one stop on the drive through.

I hope it was to pickup a Poutine or a Timmys!
Any American who steps foot here needs to stop to at least one Tim Hortons or chip stand. It's a must.
In fact they should have a drive through Tim Hortons right when coming at the border. THAT would make so much money too.

Canada is a bit too far away for me to visit. My only (that I recall at least) out of country stops have been Greece, Ireland, St. Maarten, England, Israel, Bahrain, Canary Islands for 30 or so minutes (connecting flight across Atlantic).

That movie was great. "We have no intelligence, I repeat, we have no intelligence!" (when their computer called intelligence goes down)
