Who knows. If people educated themselves more, then maybe we'd have better choices altogether. I didn't vote in the last election because I didn't want to contribute to either's numbers. I agree with you there. No leader deserves any trust or respect or love or anything simply because he is a leader. Those are things that must be earned. And Bush hasn't earned them from me.
By the way, it doesn't take half the country to vote for someone and for that person to end up winning. So it's still not debatable for the first term. He didn't get 1/2. And I'm going to make the boldly arrogant statement that it wasn't rigged either! First or second!
Sure people can't predict the future, but when advice from those who know something about war, insurgencies, and Arab/Islamic culture is disregarded in favor of some foolish rosy scenario attitude as we're finding it was, means that the war was planned and executed prematurely and it's likely that considerably fewer people, both American and Iraqi, would be on the casualty lists of direct combat or general public disorder.
