Why spend weeks reading a book that you can watch in 2 hours and understand more? :D Movies rock more then books. :P

Yeah, in movies there's more detail.

What I hate though is when a story comes out on a book then they make a movie about it, but make it really crappy, or inaccurate. But a story that comes out on movie first I'd watch any time before reading the book because it's much faster and less work. When I was in school I used to find reading so unproductive, since it was fiction books like shakesepeare and it was a total waste of time to read that stuff, while I could be doing something else, like compiling a program or something.

Drunk I guess? Camp can be fun for that. :D My drunk cousin, for example, trying to put gas in the generator while it's on... I had to keep telling him gas is almost a buck a litre and to stop putting more on the ground then in the generator, while mumbling about the safety risks involved by doing it this way. Things we'll do to avoid having to restart a final fantasy level due to power failure.

And I'm in for wolves for the theme, it seems it's already started anyway.

it was a bible camp, none of us were drunk, she kept running away to go hang out with this one guy and we chased her and carried her back by her arms and legs so she couldnt run but as soon as we put her down she ran so we put the game away

Films and books both have their advantages, it's not fair to compare them.

Books are way longer than films, and go into a lot more detail, background, and characterisation. They require you to use your imagination quite a lot, and as such are quite good exercise for the mind.

Films are all about symbolism, and visualisation. It's quite easy to just sit down and watched a dumbed down film, but great films (my favourites are Seven Samurai and Donnie Darko), have a lot of subject matter that make them worth watching multiple times and analysing.

I own 450 dvds. I have probably read 200-300 books. I love both.

I estimated. I haven't bothered counting them 1 by 1, lol.

Besides, it gets cloudy.

If its two films on 1 dvd, do you count it as 1, or 2?

If it's a box set, such as my bruce lee collection with 4 films in it, does it count as 1, or 4?

If it's a series like 24, which is 6 dvds and 18 hours long, how many dvds does that count as?

In the end, i just take a rough count.
