Send them to Terminix and claim this is where the bugs go when they spray your neighbor's house.

I don't have any bugspray, so I decided, hell, my place needs to be vacuumed so I vacuumed every last one of them up, corpses and earwigs nest. To make sure I didn't have to deal with any of them again, I removed the dustbag and tossed in the trash, then tied the bag. It felt good killing every last one of them. Now I can relax in my living room without friggin earwigs appearing....
did you ever get any in your ear?
do you ever think about the earwigs to the point that your ears start to feel itchy and you think something's crawling your in shirt?

Haha, no. If anything, I'm less bothered by earwigs now than before, only because I've had to deal with them so much in the last week or so. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to get rid of them. In fact, it looks like a spider has taken up residence near my front door. I'll let him be in the hopes that he sees them all and thinks 'buffet'.

No, I live in an apartment and my original lease is up. Now it's month to month so I just have to give them like a 30-day notice and I could be free. We'll see. I've been wanting to move, but haven't found a place that'd be worth the hassle right now.

Over the years I've had plenty of trouble with earwigs, so much so that I just started getting used to them. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and feel one crawling on me and just grab for it in the dark and throw it somewhere across the room so I didn't have to get up and kill it. Sometimes when I'd come home I'd spend a half an hour just going through my room finding them and killing them so I could sleep in peace.
Did you know that they fly? It's true.
I've been bitten by earwigs before (a few times, it's a thing we have).
I remember one time my friend had made a flower wreath and hung it up in my room. One day I noticed there was an earwig on it....then I noticed another on it and then another crawling from it. I picked up the wreath and dropped it on the floor....and 40 earwigs or more crawled out of it. They've started to calm down the last few summers though. Hopefully this trend will continue.
I feel for you Stasi, good luck.

My cat would enjoy these around the house.
My mom would probably get a heart attack if she saw one in the house though.

While it isn't a solution to the earwig intrusions, I've found a way to lighten up the problem that involves the spiders I find around my apartment....
Here's a pic I took of my new gladiator pit.
It isn't very clear in this pic, but the smaller spider is on top of an earwig sucking him dry.
