 I was reading it and then thinking well maybe I was just confused and bookworm was talking about his boyfriend and that you were gay. Which is fine I have nothing against gay people. Just people like anyone else. What was funny was when I realized that it was not you and it was your daughter. Anyways, at least I was not the only one confused. :nana:

What do ya know, a telemarketer actually got a positive response at our house the other day. Someone from the Epilepsy Foundation called and said they were picking up donations of clothes and household items in our area, and my wife has stuff to get rid of, so she scheduled a pick-up.

Wow that does not happen often. I just had one today, someone selling wheelchairs or something. I accidentally picked it up. I need to get some super boring midi and make them hold.

"Please hold for a moment" *put phone near speaker playing boring music*

I'd play the george coztansa answering machine song...

" Believe it or not, George isn't at home.
Please leave a message at the beep.
I must be out, or I'd pick up the phone.
Where could I be?
Believe it or not, I'm not home."

I got a call this evening in which the telemarketer told me, "I've been asked to contact you about the Triple A auto club." I stopped him and asked, "Who asked you to contact me?" He paused and said, "My supervisor." I thought of a whole bunch of smart-aleck remarks I could have given him, but I refrained myself and just said I wasn't interested.

Next time I get one I'm putting him on hold for super long with very boring music. I should wire a tape player to my phone so I can easly do it. :D
"Thank you for calling us, we are very interested in what you have to offer. Please continue to hold...." *music keeps playing* (loop)

Oh man, yeah, I could make a really bad, as in annoying, loop for telemarketers. That would be great! A little 3/4 diddy: La dade dade|La dade dade|La dade dade|"Please hold"|La dade dade|La dade dade|La dade dade|"Please hold"|La dade dade|La dade dade|La dade dade|"Please hold"....

That would be so annoying. :D

I so need to start having more fun with them though. And I'm sure in the end it makes their day that much more interesting. :D

i have no idea. but he had been working at target, but his manager laid off him because there were to many people. so he went back to his old job, telemarketing, just so he could get some money. the place he is working at though, is about to be going out of business. so he is working there until it does, so he can get some good money.
You don't know what kind of insurance he is working with? He's your boyfriend? They are going out of business and they pay that much? Strange.
