How? Or do you just repeat what you hear without finding out anything about it. (I'm not trying to be mean, but it does seem to be a common theme with you)

Maxthon disables activeX (the source of 90% of IE's problems) as well as java and scripting. Don't say your not trying to be mean, you are......little pissed about bush i see.

in other words it turns off stuff that i can safely run in my browser (not the active x part though, that should be turned off), but not safely run on their browser. why bother using it then? might as well use something else that doesn't make you have to turn off java or javascripting or flashplayer or quicktime viewer or whatever. although if it floats your boat to surf the web without images, or animations or whatever, then it's all good, although, you can then just about use any browser with all the stuff turned off like maxthon has. then it's like, why should i download this maxthon again? anyway, imo, the only saving grace with these browsers based on IE, is the preview of some feature that IE should've had in the beginning. but IE still has some problems with it's design and implimentation that have nothing to do with active X like it continually having spoofing issues.

better 'built in' mouse gestures, superior DL manager, smoother feel - those are all reasons Firefox is seldom if ever open on my system.

 Not at all pissed about bush, just disappointed in that respect. My question was honest, I was not trying to be mean, but to get you to look into these things more if you were just spouting information from others, as it seemed. But if you want to blame it on bush, go for it :nana: But back to my point. Simply shutting off the features isn't a fix btw   The real problem is in design, the spyware problems may be stopped in Maxthron browsers, but if it disables a large part of what browsers are suppose to support in order to do that, then it is useless as a browser.

Btw, you obviously know nothing about me to make a comment like that, if I was trying to be mean, you'd know.;) I don't hide that. I don't belive in harboring bad feelings or in being anything but honest and to the point.

Aight man its all good.

On the Maxthon browser, i don't use it and have no intentions of using it. Mizzilla firefox is just fine for me. Maxthon is more for people who love IE and don't want to switch.

I should chck if there's a firefox skin that looks like IE. I can secretly switch people to it and they won't know. I just have to modify the IE icon to point to firefox. <_>

There is a Luna theme, but hopefully you’re joking. :P

I haven’t mentioned W3C standards! I would really like to see Internet Explorer improve its standards support, especially when it comes to PNGs and CSS.

Yeah if IE could become W3C compliant and stop supporting things that other browsers don't, it would be great. I don't think any browser should be xthml strict, but they should only support the main stuff.

But supporting stuff that's completly out of the ordinary, such as activeX, is just a no no.

i'm pretty sure there's xp themes for opera. :D

also, there is a plugin for netscape/mozilla browsers that will let you run activex now. i think it's the neptune plugin or something like that....

Yes! I could care less if they make IE secure or not if they make it CSS compliant!
I have made so many snazzy css layouts, mostly of CSS 1 and a little of CSS 2, and yet IE manages to butcher them (Fixed positioning is one I'd like fixed... a lot)

Transparent PNGs would be nice too, I occasionally work in fireworks and seeing as it mostly handles PNGs, would be nice to have that fully supported.

Yep, and IE screws up PNG color shading too.
