in other words it turns off stuff that i can safely run in my browser (not the active x part though, that should be turned off), but not safely run on their browser. why bother using it then? might as well use something else that doesn't make you have to turn off java or javascripting or flashplayer or quicktime viewer or whatever. although if it floats your boat to surf the web without images, or animations or whatever, then it's all good, although, you can then just about use any browser with all the stuff turned off like maxthon has. then it's like, why should i download this maxthon again? anyway, imo, the only saving grace with these browsers based on IE, is the preview of some feature that IE should've had in the beginning. but IE still has some problems with it's design and implimentation that have nothing to do with active X like it continually having spoofing issues.Joe wrote: Maxthon disables activeX (the source of 90% of IE's problems) as well as java and scripting. Not at all pissed about bush, just disappointed in that respect. My question was honest, I was not trying to be mean, but to get you to look into these things more if you were just spouting information from others, as it seemed. But if you want to blame it on bush, go for it 
But back to my point. Simply shutting off the features isn't a fix btw 
The real problem is in design, the spyware problems may be stopped in Maxthron browsers, but if it disables a large part of what browsers are suppose to support in order to do that, then it is useless as a browser.
I don't hide that. I don't belive in harboring bad feelings or in being anything but honest and to the point.
