Well I think they mean that they ship it out the same day, so you get it after about 24 hours, but that's still pretty good.

I just got a 9800 Pro 256mem, 256bit.
I'm getting this:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc....ufactory=BROWSE
And this:
http://www.koolance.com/shop/product_info....products_id=163
On Friday...plus, all the accessories, of course. Cpu cooler, hard drive, video card, and northbridge.
My first foray into watercooling.
Back when I used to overclock this board/chip I got up to 228 FSB. And when I did pure clock speed, I was able to take it to 2.5, but not stable. 100% stable was ~2.4Ghz. (I have an Althon XP 2400 and Chaintech Zenith 7NJS nforce 2 board). So hopefully I'll see some pretty good numbers with water, or at least be able to get those results with comfortable 24/7 running temps.
So yeah...if you never hear from me again, it's because my computer exploded or something.

I just bought:
-Socket 939 Athlon 64 3000+, Winchester core (90nm)
-
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum nForce3, also socket 939 (of course)...some people seem to be having problems with this board (esp. w/ older BIOS versions, so hopefully I'll get a good one
)
-I'm planning on putting my 1 gig (2x512) of OCZ EL PC3500 in this rig, so I bought 1 stick of 512 Corsair PC3200 for my old system.
-Maxtor DiamondMax 10 (6B300S0) 300GB Serial ATA 150 HD w/16MB Buffer
-Philips 190S5 19" LCD with 12ms response times...I've played Far Cry, Half Life 2, and Doom 3 on it and I've seen no ghosting whatsoever, thank goodness.
-I also already have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256 mb, 256 bit which will also go into this rig...my old Geforce4 4200 8x will go back into the old one (it's been collecting dust since I bought the 9800Pro
)
-
Logitech MX1000 wireless laser mouse
-
Logitech Z-5300e THX Certified 5.1 speakers
I also bought
this, for anyone that tries to touch my new rig.
Katana and Tanto with a display stand. (
you have to scroll down a bit to see it, but here's another pic)
No, seriously...I bought the swords...SERIOUSLY...and I'm not afraid to use them.

Oh, and if you look a few posts up...I never did buy that 17" Samsung, but my cousin did. hehe...I sorta talked him into it, too. =X
At the time, there were no 19" LCD's available with anything lower than 16ms response times anywhere I looked. I'm glad I decided to hold out, because now I have one with 12ms.
And that Koolance system...GRRR...it sold out!!! And according to their site it's gonna be sold out until like next year.
Maybe it's a sign...

*stabs Sintekk with Tanto*
I just got them today...the swords, that is, system still in transit. I didn't realize how heavy they'd be. o___O
I could kill someone with these things...not that I'd do that or anything, though...
I wish I could get my hands on an original Samurai sword like that! I'm looking around trying to find some replicas of the Kill Bill swords, but so far I only see them on eBay. :/
I don't know, I just don't trust eBay, even if it's a regular company selling on there.
Speaking of eBay...Did any of y'all see that NBA fight a couple of weeks ago involving Ron Artest!?
The cup that was thrown at him was offered up on there (or some online bidding site) and the high bid got up to like 99 million dollars.
Of course, they ended up taking it down since there was no way to very if it was the real cup and because they thought the high bid screamed of a scam. :þ

I’ve had my lappie for a while, but I neglected to post this!
Je vous présente…Charlie!

Lenovo ThinkPad T61

56K modem (theoretically)

35.8 cm SXGA TFT display

8x DVD±RW drive

80 GB 5400 RPM hard drive

Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 @ 1.8 GHz

Bluetooth

Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

Gigabit ethernet

9-cell lithium-ion battery

1 GB PC2-5300 RAM

Intel GM965 onboard graphics

Heavenly keyboard

Ubuntu Linux 7.10 (64-bit)
exclusively

I
love her. (Yes,
her. No one makes that mistake twice.) She suspends, hibernates, connects to wireless networks and Bluetooth devices, handles Compiz, gets great battery life, is thin, takes my daily beatings, and just
everything – all without proprietary drivers!
I’m obviously not a gamer, but I was thinking of getting more RAM anyway. (I’m using half a gig of swap.)

:magic: performs necromancy spell to make sure thread is still alive
my current systems are:
main system -
Athlon XP 1900
1 GB RAM
200 GB HD space internal (long gone for any workable space), 500 GB external drive
Hercules Game Theatre XP with breakout box for sound
Some snazzy video card - the best available for AGP as of April '07
running winXP for the mostly operating system
Crash Box -
Athlon 1.3 ghz processor
somewhere around 200 GB HD space total (both systems are 6+ years old with upgrades and certain details escape ready recall for me)
A basic functional hercules Muse XL for sound card
decent video card
running Win2k workstation, my favourite Microsoft OS by far with the stability of NT and perfect simple look
Server -
Gateway PIII 650 (this was brand new in April '00)
160 GB or so of space - long gone, hence the extra space on the crash box and finally the external drive
running win2k workstation, used to be win2k server with DHCP until a few years back
edit: 300 posts!! :boldblue: :boldblue: :boldblue:

Bet that laptop can sure get data in and out very fast with that gigabit internet. Just be sure to enable jumbo frames and increase the size of your MTU.
Here's my rigs:
Destroyer (main workstation)
Athlon 64 Duel Core 5600+
2GB of ram
230GB hdd for OS/programs/temp storage
500GB for data
Nvidia Gforce 8600GT
Windows XP pro
Borg (Main server)
Athlon XP 3200+
3.5GB of ram
120GB HDD for /boot, / and /data2
500GB HDD for /data
1TBG HDD for /data3
Fedora Core 5 as OS
Got other servers but I forget the specs, I don't use them as much:
Deathstar (backup server)
Alderaan (VMware server)
120GB drive for OS
1TB raid 5 for VMs

Gigabit
Internet would sure be nice.
Seriously, though, I wish I had an opportunity to test it out. The networks at school and at my parents’ house are capped much below that, and I use wireless 99.99999% of the time anyway.

2xDVD Burner Dual Layer
512Mb DDR2 ASUS PCI Express x16 Graphics card

He runs the cable from the video card directly to his skull, much easier to work with but more of a hassle when a BSOD happens.

Sorry to break it to all of you, but I'm currently the only one in the world with terabit internet access. Soon I will be plugging my brain directly into the 'net, thus taking over cyberspace. I will gain total information awareness, destroy my enemies and make others kneel in submission. Welcome to a neverending cyberpunk dystopia.
