Red Squirrel wrote: A tesla coil is simple but yet complicated. The design is simple, but getting the stuff to make it is a chore and a half. You can't just go to walmart and find a 1:1000000 transformer in the hardware department.
But google for some plans and maybe you can find the stuff and build yourself one. But be aware they ARE dangeraus! When testing you'll want to like do it outside or something and have a grounded pole near it, while you're far from it, so the lightning will go there.
i'm gonna try that. that would rock. even though you spelled dangerous wrong.

I think it's somewhat funny that in one thread you're bumping the "Support Groups" thread up so that people can access it easily in order to help them through their problems and in the one right next to it, you're figuring out how to build a tesla coil so that you can solve yours.

Nice, portable, light, heavy duty. A must have in any self defense situation, or if you live in the states, or both.

GG, beating her boyfriend up is probably not gonna make her like you more. Romeo tried that, killed Juliet's cousin, and ended up getting banished....and at the end, he and Juliet both DIE. So take a hint from the Bard and just try and be reasonable with the guy. If he really does care about his sister, he'll listen to you, and if not, just try to stay out of his way as much as possible.

I'm going to say the same exact things that has been siad a handful of times already, I controbute nothing. But because I like too see myself post
Beating up your girlfriends brother would be a bad thing. It'll just make things harder for you, that is if she doesn't hate you afterwards.
Now if you've got the motivation to get in shape, pump up, maybe take a few lessons in your martial art of choice, that's always a good thing. If you're worried about the guy, beef up so you could kick his
, then don't. Remember nothing makes you look cooler, and hurts a guys pride more, than being able to negate or avoid your opponent's attack without attacking yourself. Not to say that's easy
, but that's the path you want to look at if you want to train for this guy: defense, not offense.

Yes. Except for the dying thing. When you die it is a horrible experience but thank god it lasts only for a second.

R&J isn't a fantasy book, it's a romantic tragedy, and not to mention, a play. And I personally take ALL my advice from musicals and plays, thank you very much.

I guess you could do it that way, theres nothing wrong with it. I usually just go with my gut and sometimes very careful planning.
How old is that book, is any of it relevant now.

Lets not forget that shakespeare's little play was a rip itself. Romeo and Juliet was based off the story of Pyramus and Thisbe. Old Willie Shakes stole that one from Ovid, who in turn stole it from the greeks, who stole it from someone else. So yeah, it's pretty old, but considering how long it's been around, how many times it's been retold, there might be a little something to it, but I don't think it's directly relevant anymore

Well, still. The message that "harming your significant other's family members generally does not help your cause with said lover" is still relevant.
...right?

Now I have nothing better to do.
lougan, do you really think it's completely accurate to claim that everyone wanted to kill themselves when they went through puberty? I mean sure it's difficult for everyone, but do you really think it is a fact that every single person at some point during puberty has contemplated suicide? I can think of several just off the top of my head that have always contended that suicide is one of the stupidest things anyone could ever think about or do, even during puberty.
You seem like a very cynical person who's overconfidence often gets him in over his head. Are you that way all the time or is it a facade you put on just for us special people here at AF?
