According to my D&D geek son (he wears the nomenclature with unabashed pride) I am a "Couatl" which is a feathered serpent with many magical powers--he says its "good"--it gaurds evil things that shouldn't be awakened...
(wow...freaky Mom moment...wondering what the evil thing is I'm gaurding
)
My son says h's a Rakshasa, which is a tiger-man thing with upside-down and backward hands. When I asked him what that says about him...it says he's intelligent, cunning, and pure evil...(another "Mom" moment...maybe that's what I'm gaurding...) He now says..."No, I'm more a Kobold..." A Kobold is a little dragon man..."kinda hard to describe.." They are small...and they can do what you'd never expect they could.
When I asked my son "why would you want to be 'evil' ?" he lightly punched my shoulder and said.."I was just kidding, Mom..."
Okay...I'm calling the family therapist now and making an emergency appointment!

I had a terrible moment in D&D. I needed just three points to advance to the next level, so I left camp to find a bird to kill. I met up with a hill giant. I didn't come back to camp.

Could be worse, you could be calling the fire department to see if what your son is doing is safe. That's what my parants had to do when I was young.
And they said it was not safe and to dismember the "devices" immediatly.
