yes indeed there should be much eating here in Austin that day...
you could always use that fake ID again from 'Bargin ID R us' (motto: Cheap and fast or good but incredibly slow - pick one). Just have to pass yourself off as a 45 year old Mexican that is 5'7" and 255 pounds.

Our trip was great. It was the nicest vacation I had been on since I was in Austin last September.
We headed out on thursday morning about 7:30 am coming from Green Bay Wisconsin. It was a nice day out, sun was shining. I love taking drives when it's nice out like that. We drove all the way through Illinois, which was pretty boring state to drive through. Then we went through Missouri, now that was pretty country. Hills and the trees but my it was hot! Then we went through Oklahoma and stayed near Tulsa for the night.
The next day we got back on the road and we went through Dallas..wow the traffic I was pretty nervous! We reached Austin around 6pm on Friday and we stayed at the radisson on town lake. It was bery pretty! The hotel was very nice and the view from our room was awesome! We overlooked the water and we could see the city, was a peaceful view. Romantic too
Radison Hotel-click me
Friday when we got settled in our hotel we went down and swam for awhile. The water was so refreshing after a long hot drive in the south. Then we went up and got ready and went out to dinner at Papa Deauz..(sp) They have the best alligator!! Yummy!!
On Saterday we picked up ken's daughter and went to the Austin Zoo, it was pretty nice. They had all kinds of animals as a zoo would have..lol..but they had like 7 differant kind of monkeys and i love monkeys , so that was really cool.
AUSTIN ZOO-CLICK MEWe paid for this train ride , thinking that it would take us through the zoo but it just took us around some woods and we seen cardboard cutouts of animals
Stupid, but the ride was a break and cooled us off some anyhow..after that we went back to the hotel and swam some more with the girls Tahsa 5 and Bre 10. After that we went for ice cream and braught Tahsa back to her mom. Then we met Mr.Self, Flood and another friend of Ken's for Dinner (Karen). We met them in the lobby of the hotel and we went to TGI Fridays! It's a pretty nice resteraunt and has great food and awseom drinks!! It was really nice to see Fragged and his Friends laugh and visit and having a good time...I enjoyed dinner too. After dinner we decided to go back up to the room and send Mr. Self and Karen out to the liquor store to get some beer and wine coolers so we could have a few drinks and play some cards..well we did just that! We played a card game..something death..i don't know the name of it, but each person draws a card and has to either give drinks away to another person or take drinks or make up rules and stuff. Was really fun! I got a pretty good buzz going..ok i was drunk
But not as drunk as some other people
*coughfraggedmr.selfkaren*
It was a lot of fun! The company was great!!
Sunday we woke up and slowly moving
but we took the day to just site see and spent a lot of the day by the pool
Fragged had a chance to go see his friends again and me and bre stayed at the pool and had a nice dinner . We just chilled and relaxed.
Monday morning we hit the road again, after picking up fragged's daughter and started our journey back to Wisconsin. This time we took a differant route and went through northeastern texas and arkansas and missouri and illinois and up to wisconsin. We sayed in Missouri overnight and got some rest monday evening and tuesday we finished our journey home. However it was an exciting afternoon in Illinois..we hit some really REALLY bad weather...softball size hail and about 6 tornado's hit that area that afternoon...we had to pull over and get to shelter because of the tornado sirens going off. I'll let fragged tell the story of the storm he is much better at describing it than I but I will tell you this, I have NEVER seen clouds swirl and so many, you could not find much of the sky above your head that was not swirling..was very scarey..but we made it home safely.
Anyways that about sums up our trip and it was awesome..someday we will be there again..hopefully sooner than later.. I had a great time, especially saterday!

driving through illinois on our way back to green bay, we stopped to get gas a little bit north of normal/bloomington, and found out there was a tornado warning...i looked up at the clouds, and there must of have been a dozen or so places where the clouds were swirling.
we hopped in the van, and sped away to the next town, where we stopped since it was raining very heavy, and the radio was talking about multiple tornadoes in different places throughout the county, some very, very close to us. i gotta tell ya, i'm very glad that we went to the next town (el paso), as a tornado hit the town we got gas in.
we didn't get any tornadoes where we stopped, but we had some very, very large hail (baseball size), and there were reports of 4 inch in diameter hail elsewhere. in all, there were 7 tornadoes from that storm, and thank god we were okay.
as soon as the weather began to clear up, we got the hell out of there, and sure enough, as soon as we got a few miles north up i39, there were more tornado warnings for where we just were.
i love storms, but this was the first time i was scared in one. the only other time i saw so much rotation in a storm was when a tornado destroyed jerrell texas and killed some two-dozen people.
anyway, i had an awesome vacation.

Storms rock. This year I got to see a bunch, but they miss us.
I only get to see the clouds. One of them was a long line of thunderstorms and it looked like a hurricane since the clouds were rolling like a giant tube, man only if it would of been a few miles closer to us. I'd be lookup up instead of just north.
