Though their average tame hp should be more near 400ish so my guess is that one was just a bad one to start with, as their stats do range quite a bit.

I am willing to extract the deed given we have to also delete the AW.
Am I the only one that thinks it's stupid to make a 5 slot AW weaker than a regular dragon? When OSI is putting out tameable "super" dragons, sometimes I just don't understand you guys.

QFT

My AW dies to ratman archers. THAT is lame considering the trouble I had taming him.

Actually, I followed that same logic when jrather showed me that AW's stats. AWs are just waaaaaay too messed up. It lies in their coding where there's no happy medium to make them balanced, they always either go too powerful or too weak. It was unwise to create a taming model on a monster who's stats have been constantly modified to create a balance between the tamed version and the one you kill.

Actually, I'm tempted to just completely wipe AWs and replace them with the OSI 5 slot dragons instead (AWs would be destroyed in place of a pet bonding deed if bonded so you don't have to wait to bond a new dragon when you already had one). Reason being is we would be following a structure that's already strong. There's also a recent change that was made on TC1 to match OSI's change to AW power (It's actually lower than what we have currently, the whole WTFpwn/WTFcrap AW versions (The current HP range being an in between value of 700 which was wayyyyyy off)). This would mean that the stats would change again. If we created the OSI 5 slot dragons, they would be matching a model who's primary purpose was to be a tameable (AW's model is to kill the attacker with little effort).

Of course, a change like this in not likely possible unless there's a majority vote (and a great deal of research on the new dragons). Hmmm maybe I'll make a poll on it later.

I'm in favor of a smaller model.

Maybe a tamable minotaur with all the dragon features? :) :) :) The AW's are huge and cumbersome.

Actually, that too. The dragons are huge. They would be the same size as the other dragons which are slightly smaller.

Seriously, I'm glad. Too bad I don't have an OSI acct otherwise I would research those dragons. I did however find this, which looks to be accurate from what people are saying on various forums:

http://vm.or.tp/ve/791/a3dra50.htm

Note that there is no stat loss post-taming like a hiryu.

I was also reading about "honoring" monsters so they ignore you. That sounds interesting:

the honor embracing we have here. Lasts about 1 minute per tier I think, so max of 3 minutes.

I'll take a look at that source later. I have 2 other credible sources so estimating is possible to get the right values for them. Whether or not our versions will have the stat loss is subject to analysis and testing (Our creature AI being different than standard, this is necessary).

We have that here (Something other runuo shards are lacking). Monsters will ignore you similar to how ethereal voyage and confusion blast potions work. We added that in around the same time as the new potions. Embracing honor proves to be incredibly useful for getting your corpse back or soloing certain named creatures without being disturbed.

We have LOS checks for most mobs, if not its probably a bug.

The fan dancers kick ass, but they can't throw tessens through a cement wall. :P (well should not be able to anyway).

I fixed that when adding in an ability that was missing from fan dancers. They won't do that in the next update.

They give extra bonuses. You might be able to check them out on stratics or some other sources. Should see if we can add a bonus line in the "more details" area of the craft. You never really know the bonus until you actually craft it.
