Am I the only one that thinks it's stupid to make a 5 slot AW weaker than a regular dragon? When OSI is putting out tameable "super" dragons, sometimes I just don't understand you guys.Red Squirrel wrote:In order to help encourage people to actually use different pets the AWs have been given a massive stat loss, they are more a symbol / rare then pwnage now.
Though their average tame hp should be more near 400ish so my guess is that one was just a bad one to start with, as their stats do range quite a bit.
I am willing to extract the deed given we have to also delete the AW.

Actually, I followed that same logic when jrather showed me that AW's stats. AWs are just waaaaaay too messed up. It lies in their coding where there's no happy medium to make them balanced, they always either go too powerful or too weak. It was unwise to create a taming model on a monster who's stats have been constantly modified to create a balance between the tamed version and the one you kill.dprantl wrote: Am I the only one that thinks it's stupid to make a 5 slot AW weaker than a regular dragon? Actually, that too. The dragons are huge. They would be the same size as the other dragons which are slightly smaller.jrhather wrote:I'm in favor of a smaller model.
Maybe a tamable minotaur with all the dragon features? The AW's are huge and cumbersome.
Minotaur aren't that powerful, cept for maybe Meraktus. They do have power in numbers though.jrhather wrote: Maybe a tamable minotaur with all the dragon features?
Seriously, I'm glad. Too bad I don't have an OSI acct otherwise I would research those dragons. I did however find this, which looks to be accurate from what people are saying on various forums:Seer Death wrote:Actually, I followed that same logic when jrather showed me that AW's stats.dprantl wrote: Am I the only one that thinks it's stupid to make a 5 slot AW weaker than a regular dragon? I'll take a look at that source later. I have 2 other credible sources so estimating is possible to get the right values for them. Whether or not our versions will have the stat loss is subject to analysis and testing (Our creature AI being different than standard, this is necessary).dprantl wrote: Seriously, I'm glad. We have that here (Something other runuo shards are lacking). Monsters will ignore you similar to how ethereal voyage and confusion blast potions work. We added that in around the same time as the new potions. Embracing honor proves to be incredibly useful for getting your corpse back or soloing certain named creatures without being disturbed.dprantl wrote: I was also reading about "honoring" monsters so they ignore you. That sounds interesting:

I fixed that when adding in an ability that was missing from fan dancers. They won't do that in the next update.jrhather wrote:Which reminds me... how do fan dancers and meer warriors react when strangled? i know on demise they can hit you know matter what or where you are....Seer Death wrote:Think I set it waaaaay high. They give extra bonuses. You might be able to check them out on stratics or some other sources. Should see if we can add a bonus line in the "more details" area of the craft. You never really know the bonus until you actually craft it.jrhather wrote:I'd like to know the difference between all of the blades.
