It started around 8:30 here and just kept getting slower until everything just stopped. I couldn't get the mail, tried MSN, Google, E'link, nothing was working. It was after 1:00 when I went to bed.

Hey everyone! Getting food on the table here too. My parants work hard to put the bread on the table.
I always laugh at that expression because bread is so cheap, but in the old days, it was hard to make enough money.

Great news, time to dance!

My grandaughter is graduating to middle school tonight. I'm not going but I bought her a VCR. They have 4 tvs and 1 VCR. They are inexpensive now that everything is coming out on DVD.

Already? Ours does not start till the end of june, but since I only have 1 exam, I can consider myself a week extra off.

We just had a stupid breakfast in our honour.

I am sure she is looking forward to high school... I was a little afraid when I first came!

I was scared too. The school was at the ontario governement complex before it moved to a new location a block away from my house. My dad brought me the first day, and we were just driving around the building and I saw all these "big kids" on skateboards and stuff, some others smoking pot in the corner etc... After I got used to it, it turned out to be better than grade 7 and 8. People were much nicer, there were no bullies, no people who would say "I'l get you after school in the parking lot". Nothing like I had imagined.
Of course, this is a 200-student school we are talking about, bigger schools have "stuff", that goes on more often.

This year we had a police raid in our school though. 4 cop cars. Someone did a prank call that someone had a gun.

But the worse was the bomb hoax at the goverment complex, the entire building was evacuated for about 30 minutes.

My granddaughter is 11 and still has to go to daycare after school. Now she doesn't want the daycare bus to pick her up at middle school. She would be so embarrassed! Don't know what my son and his wife will do about that. They feel she is still too young to be at home alone. She can ride the school bus home but no one would be there.

I think 11 would be too young to stay at home too. My parents didn't let me stay by myself until I was about 13.... Of course, I had fun!

I can't remember how old I was first time I could stay home alone. All I know is that my parants still don't trust me if they have to leave for a week. At least, not about a year ago they did not. Not sure if they would now, if they would have to leave.

I cannot figure out what is going on...I couldn't get here or ATF. Went to the pit ok. Some places on the net I can't get to at times.

Well I still notice suddent slowdowns here once in a while, but they don't last as long anymore.

Yep, it's not just here either. I was at another site when I couldn't get here and it was really slow. It seems to be a random thing that hits all the sites at one time or another.
