I have an issue: If a new file is added to a daily folder and is never modified again, it will be deleted eventually when the USB drive runs out of space, leaving me without a copy. I decided to dump the whole daily-folder idea and go solely for filename suffixing. Instead of overwriting a modified file, rsync will suffix the older version with a Unix timestamp.

Fun! Backing up to a server at my parents’ house actually isn’t such a kooky idea – if I ever get my hands on some old hardware.

i got a whipped cream pie to the face this evening! from my boyfriend! then he put it on top of my head and got it all in my hair! i still have to wash it out. it was crazy, and i was kinda upset about the whole getting in my hair thing but it was good fun. and its hard to get mad after having a huge marshmallow war outside. lol i cant wait till they put the pictures online...

I have an actual blue IE icon on my taskbar after 'upgrading' to IE7 recently First time in ages. At least I have the new features and security that I have already been using for five or six years in other actual browsers.....oh wait how does MS call them 'new' then when they were just playing catchup? Does anyone know if IE7 has mouse gestures in some fashion or are those users still missing that essential (IMO) feature?

Just removed the offending icon

in related news, Microsoft has dropped the requirement of validating your product key before letting IE7 install - certainly made it easier than the last few times I felt like just eyeballing their product. *kicks skull and crossbone flag back in closet*
