Well, I’m counting on dumb thieves. I mean, I can’t take my bike in Wal-Mart with me.
On the way back from
Kroger:

Distance: 2.5 km

Average speed: 17.4 km/h

Peak speed: 32 km/h

Time: 8 minutes and 44 seconds

Temperature: 12 °C

I’ve got to get back in shape. I love my little speedometer thing. It defaults to SI, although it uses kilocalories instead of kilojoules and abbreviates kilometers as “KM”.

Haha I used to have one on my bike it was great.
Think my record speed was like 38km/h. I was driving downhill on a open road with lot of wind going to my back then a transport past right beside me and the wind threw me at a crazy speed, was so fun. Had every possible element on my side.
I have not driven my bike in ages, one summer is here and that the snow is gone I'll try to force myself to use it over my car specially if I'm not going far.

Sure you can take your bike into Wal-Mart. I do it all the time, although people are slackers in oregon so they don't really care to much. I just keep a 100$ bill in my wallet, gets me into any place with my bike.
That or being a slacker could just be me.. I mean, i'm 19 and I still don't have a license. Already bought a car but i'm to lazy to get my license.
Which brings up another thought about the oregon DMV.. wait, two thoughts.
First, if you're over 18 you can skip getting a learners permit and just get a regular license. You just have to take the eye vision and drivers test. You just have to know how to drive. But you need the learners permit to learn how to drive without going to jail. Makes sense huh? Everytime I go in to take the permit test they ask my age followed by "Why don't you just skip the written test and take the drivers test since you're over 18?"
Actually, if driving in video games is the same as driving in real life then i'd pass with flying colors.
Second thought! (Not joking on this either)
This happened the first time I took the permit test. They bumped it to 45 question in oregon and you can only miss 7 of them. Anyway, one of the questions was-
"If you are in a car accident
and have gotten injured, whats the first thing you do?"
For my answer I chose call 911 or a paramedic. WRONG.. the correct answer was to move your car to the side of the road.
I failed the test because of that question.
You posted before me Red.. but I like to do the same thing. Theres this really long and huge hill that lasts about 15-17 city blocks. Aslong as you hit green lights then it is really fun. So far i've only been able to go about 5 blocks before needing to stop.

I hate written driving test.
I actually failed mine because I said you have to park at least 5 meters away from a fire hydrent, when the right answer was 2.5. Like its stupid. Whats the point of having to know the EXACT numbers?
I just know that if I want to park and see a spot but theres a fire hydrent there I wont park there, I'm not going to start taking a measuring tape to see if I can maybe park a couple feet away from the sidewalk to be in the legal zone, since I'd probably get a ticket anyway.

Bike safely – or, rather, as safely as you can. I hate when cyclists think that the rules of the road don’t apply to them. It puts them at risk and hurts our already fragile relationship with motorists.

Ha! I cannot
imagine the problems I would encounter if I took my bike in Wal-Mart. They already follow me around, especially in electronics, because I carry a backpack. (It’s nice having a cute guy follow
me around for a change, but I digress.)
Besides, I think I’m willing to risk my bike getting stolen if it means not having to schlep that thing around while I’m shopping. (My bike’s cheap enough, and I like to take my time shopping – reading the ingredients, looking at the new items, comparing brands, chatting up friends, etc.)

Hehe. When you view the satellite imagery, Kroger isn’t there. I remember seeing the grand-opening signs when I moved here, so it must be pretty young.

haha that sucks.
I learned my lesson with shipments. I get them sent to my office now, instead of at home. So it gets to the front desk and I get a phone call and get my loot right away.
That makes me realize its been a while since I ordered something. Online shopping is so fun!

I suppose I’m going to stay up again. What’s my problem?!
Anyway, having 4 GiB of RAM is great. It’s nice to be able to stuff the GIMP and my multiple 10-megapixel images in
a workspace and just forget about them while I take a break from image editing.

Lol, I usually have ice cream for breakfast now.
Nothing much will happen during the day, I just have a appointment at 3:00 and thats about it. I started drinking 30ish minutes ago but I had to stop because I realized that the appointment that i'm going to is a doctor appointment and i'm underaged. Plus, I ran out of cola so I mixed root beer with jack daniel's and its pretty nasty..
I might have to go to best buy, have to pick up some expansions for a game.

I have a nasty habit of eating candy for breakfast, if I eat anything at all. I forced myself to eat whole-wheat bread with hummus today, as well as a glass of soy milk, because I’m trying to look good shirtless by next summer. (I’ll hopefully be within driving distance of Montreal. You can draw your own conclusions.)

Interestingly, many states, including Oregon,
have exceptions to the underage-drinking ban. Of course, Tennessee’s stricter. (In Lawrenceburg and maybe the whole state, Sunday alcohol sales are banned until 13:00, because it instantly becomes less sinful at that time.)

Oregon isn't to strict about it. They'll just ticket you if you have alcohol and are underaged. I probably could buy alcohol myself but i'm to afraid i'll get busted.
I completely forgot about that thread, but, I am feeling somewhat better. Thanks for asking, i'm going to see a doctor on sunday because I still have a weird feeling in my throat. Its like having sore throat, except there is no pain. Its hard to explain but I have trouble pronouncing some words and I can't take in as much oxygen as I used to.
I'll also schedule an appointment to see a doctor who specializes in vocal cords and what not next week. Just to be on the safe side, plus seeing your vocal cords should be cool. Except the only thing that sucks is they stick the camera up your nose..

LOL I had a camera stuck up my nose once. Its a really weird feeling, then you start feeling it when you swallow, and it keeps making you want to swallow since its like if something is stuck, but its the camera.

I was thinking more the token "bad boy" in a boy band. Perhaps even going as far as to reference NKOTB.

I just call 'em like I see 'em. Way too clean cut and approachable to be an actual bad boy with a smattering of whatever the US equivalent of bishi is.
