Yeah, I can definitely relate. I’m from a small town near Alabama (Lawrenceburg, Tennessee), and the only thing to do there is get drunk in the Wal-Mart parking lot. I don’t know what I would’ve done without the Internet.

There’s a sharp difference between dried-up towns like Lawrenceburg and big college towns like Murfreesboro and Nashville. I am continuously amazed by the economic opportunities and tolerance compared to back home. That being said, though, my life’s probably a fourth over, and I feel like there’s more to experience than Tennessee.

Eww green christmas is just not christmas. Sadly due to global warming our Christmas is green quite often. That or its all wet and slushy and crap. Like today, its raining. WTF rain in December?! Thats just not right at all... it should be at least -15 with blowing snow, and nothing better then late at night on Christmas eve when it's -30 and there is ice crystals in the air. We don't really see that anymore now.

So, Superstation WGN showed the wrong closed captions for Corner Gas this evening, and half of the last episode didn’t have anything. Hopefully things will be sorted out on tonight’s episode—which, if the previews are correct, is the eagerly awaited “An American in Saskatchewan”, marking the second time I will hear Hank measure distance in a non-SI unit, and most likely not for the benefit of the ostensibly intelligent American.
