truly a simple question that any simpleton with an advanced understanding of galactic transdimensional calculus can answer but to put it simply -
spoon is of course a constant unless you are in or within a parsec of the Centauri System, in which case it is the value of the gravititational force on Alpha Centauri III divided by the current temperature at the equator on the third continent of Alpha Centuari II.
This figure is multiplied by the current figure for the waistline of the exceedingly rotund 8-armed governor of Betelgues Prime, Xarces Zibleon. It it is then divided by the combined current ages of both Strom Thurmond and Elvis - both of them left the planet for reasons mostly classified by the Galactic Council but it is rumoured by some that Strom did most of his 5,000 years assignment here but decided to leave a few centuries early- and taken to the power of fork.

Oddly enough, this equation usually works out to 4 with a margin of error of .5, unless Xarces (that rotund governor of Betelguese Prime) has eaten yet another of his particularly larger wives.
