Reich is a minimalist composer who used tape loops/repetitive sounds to create phasing patterns.

"Different Trains" is my favourite album - hauntingly beautiful and very powerful. The percussive railway noises and ubiquitous steam whistle effects are nostalgic reminiscences of train journeys. A dreamy affair with the past.... and then suddenly 10 minutes into the piece the tempo increases and distant voices echo dates - 1940, 1941 - the intensity of the notes rise and the dreamy affair turns into a chilling realization that we are reliving the experience of Jews on their way to the death camps.
Reich's recorded speech integration into a musical performance is a very powerful journey.

I used to love that song, Simple and Clean. catchy as all farkin hell. Then I listened to some of her other stuff and it all sucked butt. But back then I listened to a lot more jpopanime stuff than I do now.. which is next to none.

Come to Daddy - Dillinger Escape Plan

Pretty wicked just for the fact that it's a metal band covering Aphex Twin, one of my favorite aphex songs on top of that. Doubt few other bands could pull it off.
